50 CYCLES A WARNING no quibble guarentee

Clearly the customer was always going to be looked after by 50 cycles and it's a shame that that wasn't understood by all throughout.

50 CYCLES A WARNING no quibble guarentee

Only uk courier I could find which dealt with one offs and was OK with lithium and allowed extra cover to be purchased, was interlink express (although it's possible I didn't read their terms properly). There may be others. Unfortunately these couriers like to bury onerous terms in the small print.

    London Road Rage

I don't see how pointing out to someone they nearly killed you can harm driver cyclist relations. Surely the reckless driver in a given case, harmed those relations, and telling them about their recklessness is the least justice and education requires. I don't think there are relations between...

Apparently the two hour interview was with the cyclist, sorry for the confusion. Will edit post.

    London Road Rage

I thought he was struck by the car mirror seemingly deliberately and shouted at the driver. The driver then blocked him and stopped the car. I might be wrong but that's what I've picked up from reading comments including the cyclist's. It seems that so much turns on the specific facts. The...

    London Road Rage

I've read he hit the cyclist with his door mirror hard enough to make it fold back. And (from @anarchobarista) that he's a violent, coked up, harassing boss who doesn't pay his employees or suppliers regularly. As for his life being ruined, I think he's just losing his existing cyclist customers...

Throttle only in Europe - what legal & financial hurdles need to be overcome

Haha pretending to pedal was my whole plan in building a powerful pedelec ;-) Unfortunately no the way my knees are this isn't possible, hence my thinking of getting legal. This is actually hugely useful for a legal challenge against an EU Act because you need to demonstrate an interest in...

Throttle only in Europe - what legal & financial hurdles need to be overcome

Thanks everyone. I'm thinking of mounting an action for annulment against the EU legislation- any ordinary citizen may do this. However that would seem to just rule out one source of trouble and leave troublesome national rules intact. The EU jurisprudence has tools however for individuals to...

Throttle only in Europe - what legal & financial hurdles need to be overcome

Hi all, After finishing my pedelec build, I recently found my youngish knees are not as reliable as I'd hoped and I need to be able to use throttle only when riding. Unfortunately this threatens to defeat my main purpose in having an electric bike - because you can't use a throttle-only ebike...

I just finished watching the last episode of 'Better Call Saul' last night, it did wonders for my own BB withdrawal symptoms.

If you paid for something costing over £100 with a credit card then your provider (ie Barclays or whoever, not Visa) has to cough up pro-rata for up to 6 years after the date of purchase, depending on how long the goods could reasonably have been expected to last, dependent on what's fair given...

Some people are always hysterical! So I wouldn't worry about tax and insurance.

    Bafang swxk wiring confusion

No I don't. Does that mean there's no way of limiting the speed? I've been looking at buying one of these, can you tell by looking if it has a white loop? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/36V-48V-500W-9-Mosfets-E-Bike-Motor-Controller-with-LED-meter/32276941173.html

    Bafang swxk wiring confusion

Thanks D8veh. Yes to both - although the sensor had to be jerry-rigged with cable ties because the bottom bracket was too wide for the PAS sensor ring to fit over. It might be slightly too distant from the magnet disc - but it can't sit flush with it as it's partially bent backwards diagonally...
