    Bafang CST 180mm, bolt problem

Thanks you were right. And the washer worked like you said - the brake disc no longer hisses. Thanks D8veh.

    Bafang CST 180mm, bolt problem

Also this chain business is like doing a rubik's cube, I have no idea how I messed it up so badly.

    Bafang CST 180mm, bolt problem

Just saw this - thanks D8veh. They look like anti-rotation washers upside down,as the thickness is very similar, but they're just ordinary circular ones. I've got some anti-rotation ones standing by. If an extra washer between the above washer (well actually an anti-rotation washer) and nut...

    Bafang CST 180mm, bolt problem

Thanks Trex. Now to somehow de-tangle the chain/derailleur. Proving baffling.

    Bafang CST 180mm, bolt problem

Also the non-derailleur side has about 1-1.5mm where the shaft isn't going into its seating. Bang it with something? Hammer?

    Bafang CST 180mm, bolt problem

Thanks Trex. Then I'll have two extra washers left over though (the ones installed in the photo). That's not a problem?

    Bafang CST 180mm, bolt problem

Hi all, Could anyone please advise me what the washer order ought to be for this rear wheel install? I seem to have several washers too many in the kit. The two photos I'm about to post will show what I've got. What's on the bike seems to be a bit too few (see the gap). Thanks! Jonathan

    50 cycles - misleading advertising

KMG440 I've had a look at the screengrab you posted and I agree with your construal of the promise. It objectively appears to be a promise to whoever buys the bike, to increase their confidence that they'll be satisfied with product, and be willing to part with their money. You relied on it...

    50 cycles - misleading advertising

This is the cached page and this is the current page both of which just link to this page which doesn't say very much http://www.50cycles.com/our-promise.html Although whatever it (or they personally) said when you bought, is what they've committed to honouring, that forms your contract, and...

    50 cycles - misleading advertising

Hi KMG440. I've checked and I can't find any 100% money back guarantee or anything like it on 50cycles' website, although cached you'll notice they've removed their "No Quibble Guarantee" claim and replaced it with "First Class Service" (I've pasted cached and current screenprints). What did...

Which motor/kit to get? Bafang CST or Xiongda? 36V or 48V?

Nice bike. I personally would get the batteries from a UK supplier like Eclipse or Woosh because if something goes wrong (and batteries apparently sometimes do) then they can actually help. Yes you could ask a bike shop to fit a Xiongda, that's what I did with my CST, was £39 including...

    Kit arrived from BMS

The pro wheelbuilder I dealt with preferred to source the spokes himself, I'd leave it with him or her. Only a few pounds. The geometric measuring is intensely fiddly so I'd avoid the risk of getting the wrong ones. People think thicker is stronger but some builders can do a much stronger build...

50 CYCLES A WARNING no quibble guarentee

If a good fails prematurely and becomes not fit for purpose, you shouldn't sell it because as you rightly say, you will make a loss; you should seek the help from the retailer to which you're contractually entitled, ie which you've paid for.

    Kit arrived from BMS

I had a similar problem with a related company sending the wrong motor entirely -a cheap motor whereas I'd paid a fortune for a top motor and they sent the right one after much haggling.

    Kit arrived from BMS

I tried building a wheel and think it's well worth paying someone to do it for you. I paid 25 plus 13 for the spokes for a master wheel builder to do it and it's a great build. You're owed that cost by BMS incidentally - I suggest you contact them and tell them they sent the wrong product and...

Don't do anything to the battery until you've given Woosh a chance to help, and exhausted that help!

    Add-E - New bike kit

Do they still make the Velocex? I loved the idea of them, that's what ebikes are really in spirit, they've got in them the memory somehow of these incredible French countryside runabouts.
