    E-bike prices

The narrow forks could be an issue. One can find mudguards to fit but when you've no suspension, the balloon effect of 38mm tyres at 20lb/ft is really useful for comfort. Otherwise it looks very good.

    Camp in my garden!

People should also be aware of the Dutch Friends of the Bicycle (Vrienden op der Fiets) network. It costs €10 a year but bike tourers get to use a worldwide network of b&b arrangements set up by bike aficionados, for €20 a night including breakfast.

    Hello people

Can you get metal triangle battery cases which can be locked to the bike for insurance purposes ? Do you have to charge the battery while it's attached to the bike? Thanks

Mid Drive Kits out of stock

Also bear in mind what Alibaba means in Arabic. The warranty and backup you get from an English supplier, especially if you pay by credit card, is worth 10 times the extra you will pay for it (and the extra after duty and VAT is very little)

Mid Drive Kits out of stock

I just heard that eclipse bikes are getting in some more batteries at the end of October, and usually their motors arrive around the same time.

    You got a moped!

I think the light plays a role, and the small wheels, and bits and bobs which bulk out the silhouette. I think all of these Banggood lights look motorbike-ish. I don't think it looks moped-like, but it does look highly modified! How many Wh have you got on it? Looks like a thousand plus...

    Converting a tandem trike

There is also a 48v 500w BPM available at 200rpm from Chinese suppliers although it would legally require single vehicle approval.

    Converting a tandem trike

I found it very hard to source BPM motors with sufficiently low rpm (and the requisite 250w markings) to have good uphill torque. Paying considerably more for a CST may be an option. However what I think looks interesting are these Puma (Mac?) motors which have 150 and 175rpm versions - better...

    Spare battery advice

Good to know. I'm getting the feeling that what I've bought has more in common with a horse than a gadget. I have to take it out especially for rides just so that it doesn't lose its strength.

    Another super bright head light

According to the label on top of the light, it will accept 12 to 80v although on the ad itself it only lists 12v so I can see why anyone would be misled.

    Attitudes to ebikes.

Apparently there are ebikers on my local London Cycle Campaign group who do group rides each week, people are fine with it I'm told. Definitely want to join.

Very Bright Very Cheap Light runs from battery

Excellent. Thank you. Do you know what's a good way of cutting glare down, if there's a filter one can buy? I just want to point out for other people here that Banggood do the same light in black which may look better...

Which electric bike for a small mountain?

I can't see how such a tiny cylinder is supposed to generate torque to go over a speed hump let alone a 30 degree hill which will make 8 inch diameter motors overheat in a matter of seconds.

Which electric bike for a small mountain?

Oh dear, sounds like braking is an elaborate maneuvre on such a system. Talk about dangerous.

    Saddle Choice for Prostate Problems

Haha I wouldn't normally suggest it but if it's a medical thing then the most important thing is that you get the right saddle.
