    18 months interest free credit?

I think you're mis-understanding the finance deal. The dealer gets paid by the finance company, I suspect there may be a small charge on the dealer. (That may be your only wiggle room). The finance company then sells the debt to a bank or larger finance house. Now this is where it gets...

    Hi, from pedelec hopeful

I've never ridden a rear hub drive so I couldn't compare. The only time it's been slightly 'entertaining' is on a steep hill, standing on the pedals and pulling on the bars, the wheel gets a bit lively. But hunching over the bars sorts it out. I've been amazed what 250w will do. Others here...

    Hi, from pedelec hopeful

Hi Charlie, I get knee problems intermittently. Last year I converted my hybrid with a front wheel drive. Now if my knee does start playing up I can keep up the rotation (so keeping drive) but back off the pressure I apply, to nothing if needed. If it gets really bad I can just use the...

I see that Hatti has made the Telegraph

It must have been the speed they got my bike out. Dispatched Thursday, arrived West Wales before Friday mid-day.

    Giant Replacement

These cable operated calipers really do sound a bit Heath Robinson. Bending the disc, really? Still I think we'll see how we go over a few rides. Main thing is, we've got to sell the giant (no storage space)and I'm not sure how old it is. We bought it last year, privately, second hand, perhaps...

    Giant Replacement

Thanks for the info on the brakes guys. I assume if I fitted Ebay ones, this would affect warranty? So I think we'll try Welsh rain and some emergency stops first. Although that might be difficult because there really wasn't much grip at all. I suspect there may be a bit of grease there. The...

    Giant Replacement

So, the Esprit wasn't really handling the Welsh hills well and we decided on a Woosh Big Bear LS as a substitute. Having spoken to Hatti about measurements we ordered ( without trying one) this week as they have a 6% price rise at the end of the month. So a heart in mouth moment as we unpacked...

    Bike Carriers - again!

What roof mount on a 4x4 and me only 5'6" ? Looks like it will have to be home engineered trailer top as per the link. Time to get the welding gear out and try to remember how not to blow holes in light weight steel tube. I'll post some photos when I'm done.

    Bike Carriers - again!

I've been reading the thread on towing bracket carriers. But I need my hitch for my trailer when camping. Does anyone know of a trailer mounted carrier for two e-bikes? Internet searches have only produced items from S.Africa or Australia, or specialist trailers. I have thought of fabricating...

Shetland woman looking to find my perfect Ebike, Need Help Please!

I'm a newbie and II converted this bike late last year. It is an ezee kit, so now has a motor in the front wheel and battery in the rack (supplied with the kit) at the back. I am a carpenter and live in hilly west Wales. I did it, I'm sure your chap could. I am smaller than you, but the hill...

They look great(if pricey), but will they work with alluminium rims?

    Would you convert this bike?

Well the new rack is now fitted, much tidier, thank you. Also lights all done and switched - I'm ready to go. I've just returned from another battery conditioning run, trying to flatten this monster. So I chose a route that I knew had a serious, hard to walk up hill. This thing took it on...

    More power from a Giant?

Wot me ride a sit up and beg? I may be an old git but I do have some sense of style left. Perhaps we should take it to holland and 'loose' it !

    More power from a Giant?

Thanks guys, you're confirming my suspicions. I'm an electrician by trade so wiring is no problem, however all the control and D.C. side of things is a learnable unknown. I have suggested the Big Bear but having only purchased the Giant earlier this year, 'she who must' is a bit reluctant. We...

    More power from a Giant?

Can you help my wife keep up? Having been out for our first joint ride since I installed my cyclezee kit, the power difference between that and my wife's Giant Twist Esprit, is almost painful. Once again I am waiting for her, which is why we bought her a pedelec in the first place. Does anyone...

I`m Dreaming of the perfect winter bike boot.

Have a look at these. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Muck-Boot-Muckmaster-Neoprene-Wellies/dp/B00AO6BIBA/ref=sr_1_1?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1419846031&sr=1-1&keywords=muck+boot+company I got mine for about £55 from a farm supplies store. They're designed to wear all day, slip on and off easily because of...

    Would you convert this bike?

Hi, Is it because the design of the rack legs has changed? I notice that yours has two legs whilst mine has three. From the bottom horizontal rail of the rack to where the legs come together measures 9.25 inches, from same rail to frame lug measures 14.5.

    Would you convert this bike?

Hi, Looking at this photo I see that all parts were in the kit, however the rack is slightly different. The controller was pre-mounted under the front of the rack. With the rack sitting on top of the mudguard the vertical legs weren't long enough to reach the frame lugs. So I used the...

    Would you convert this bike?

Well, I've done it ! I settled on the Cyclezee kit because it had everything I needed. The conversion took about 5 hours. Everything went as per the instruction sheet apart from mounting the rack. I ended up having to make a bracket to suit the frame. It's a bit rough and I will be refining...
