    Don`t know what is worse!!!

Good grief! They certainly know how to charge, that's for sure. I'd be inclined to cut one out of polycarb sheet and probably do a better job of that terribly weak-looking pivot point, too.

    throttle availability

I would suggest that the situation regarding car adaption is looked at. There, hand/foot/elbow/nose throttles are perfectly allowable subject to some form of approval - ie, the driver is examined actually driving the vehicle and if his/her control is satisfactory, it's ok. There should be no...

    Here we go again

You'd benefit from winter tyres even without the snow, since the grip of them is superior on cold tarmac to summer tyres. They don't grip as well as summer tyres once the temperature goes above 7degC, but for the majority of the winter season, I'd fit them. I've been looking seriously at...

    puncture

Right, see what you mean. I've had one like that but fortunately had kept the old box with sharper edges. I've had so few punctures that by the time I get to use the kit it's well out of date. Must check it again.

    puncture

I hold the box upside-down and scrape the chalk block into it, then turn the box over in one motion onto the patch so the dust covers it. Seems to work well enough.

Strange accident with my chain drive e-bike!

It's a bit of a trade-off, whether the mounting bracket will bend first, before the frame it's mounted too. I suppose it's less of a tragedy having to replace/repair the bracket once in a while rather than scrap the frame, if the damage or twist is bad enough. If it was doing its job well...

    Potential scam warning

A reply... "the fact that we build each kit up 8 hours a go means nothing then :) nono, we'll build as fast as we qwant, and as tough as we want, and sell them properly to our customers once we've got videos up. it is you who can't handle that" Stupid bastards. It's one thing...

    Potential scam warning

Interesting. I sent a scathing question about video, claims and safety; also recommended that they get some basic engineering knowledge and a clue to go with it. Oh, I do hope I get a reply :)

Frozen hands - need new gloves

A smear of washing-up liquid, buffed off, does the trick just as well. Not as impressed as I was when I misread one of the titles as Donkey Thong.

Five Tips for Electric Bike Businesses

Really? That must be why GUS, Grattans, Littlewoods, etc were nothing more than one-man-inna-van operations, then? That's only the UK - mail-order in Europe was pretty healthy and for exactly the same reasons as in America; many rural (and urban) customers had High St fashions and gadgets...

    Anyone lost a Kalkhoff

Pretty much the usual nonsense from ebay - make it just difficult enough to report things that many people won't be bothered, and yet give the appearance of being willing to do something.

Investing in cycle paths to reduce congestion

    If it ain't nailed down...

Some scumbags will nick anything. I had a scabby old set of waterproofs nicked from the topbox on my m'cycle a few years ago. Much good it would have done them.

    Cheap Lipo4 from China

Fedex and UPS are notorious for this little racket. They make sure that all parcels possible are caught for duties and rake in the duty plus their 'handling charge'. Nets them millions of extra profit per annum. EMS doesn't suffer from this the same way, but I'd not be surprised if the screws...

How much import duty is charged ?

Sorry, I got it slightly wrong with a bit of mis-remembering. Duty isn't chargeable on a repair or mod under warranty, but I think they'd a damn cheek charging it on the outward postage. Did it come via UPS or FedEx? They are notorious for squeezing every bit they can, in the interest of...
