Out of stock already... surely not!

Took a look on Eclipse Bikes website early this morning, and saw that they had stocks of the Bafang kits back in. Looked again this afternoon, and it appears that all the 36v 500w and 48v 750w kits have gone already. I'm sure they had 30 plus of the 750w and at least 10 of the 500w when I...

Don't blame us if you end up getting zip tied by CO19 and sent off to Guantanamo Bay

    Is this guy for real?

Ha ha, didn't sell and relisted at a reduced starting price of 25 quid. Electric bike ultra pants battery It's described as an emergency battery, so if any forum members fancy lugging around a 9kg emergency battery in their back pack, then you might get a bargain.... or a broken spine :D

    Is this guy for real?

He's at it again, but this time wrapping up Sealed Lead Acid batteries in blue duct tape. I'm guessing 4 x 12v 7Ah in series, with a combined weight of around 9kg. Mmmmm, not exactly light then! Absolutely useless for an electric bike, unless you like voltage that's saggier than Nora Batty's...

    Bafang BBS01 error 7

I was under the impression that owners were having problems with clunky gear changes, because the PAS took so long to cut power. Correct me if I'm wrong, the real issue is that owners want to continue to pedal while changing gear, so that's why they use the dab of the brake or throttle method...

    Bafang BBS01 error 7

With such a vast scope to fine tune the PAS settings, I wonder why Bafang haven't managed to dial out the motor over run issue when changing gears.

    Bafang BBS02 48v 750w PAS parameters?

I don't intend on actually hooking up a cable and changing the parameters. I just wanted an idea of what the current limits are set on each level, and whether the speed limit is set at 100% for all levels. It means I can help protect the controller with prior knowledge of how it's working at any...

    Bafang BBS02 48v 750w PAS parameters?

Thanks Michael for taking the time to post this. Got a feeling though, that the BBS02 might be programmed a little differently.

    Bafang BBS02 48v 750w PAS parameters?

Has anyone who has bought the Bafang BBS02 48v 750w from Eclipse Bikes, viewed the controller software using a cable? If so, please could you post the parameters for each of the 9 PAS levels, that it came with as stock.

just got back on the bikes

While you've been away, 99% of the forum members have moved away from 2 wheels and we are now riding these: Easier to store, longer range, only need to replace one tyre when worn, and lots of 'Oh look at me' factor. The website will be changing name to Unilecs soon! I'm only kidding of...

    MXUS geared hub motor

How much power can you run through a MXUS geared hub motor without it melting down? I've looked on their official website (well I think it's the official one) and firstly it looks like they only do the one version of geared motor. Secondly, they quote a power rating of 50w - 5000w, which I...

What tool do I need to remove this?

OK OK, so I need to be baby-sat a little. What tool do I need to remove this big silver ring, after taking off the crank arm? A link to one on eBay would be great :)
