Park Tool Cyclone Chain Scrubber on BBSxx?

This one should be fine to use, as it contains no solvents: https://muc-off.com/clean/21-drive-chain-cleaner.html?ref_cat=8

Park Tool Cyclone Chain Scrubber on BBSxx?

Just ordered a chain wear indicator thingy, so will report back with whether my chain cleaning routine is working with a BBS02 and 500+ miles ;)

So hot that my controller stopped working

I'm no expert, but I don't see why you would need to drill holes in the case, just fix the fan firmly to the largest surface area. You're only looking to drop controller temp a few degrees. I used to have a 48v 30A controller inside a black frame bag, which had a large 48v battery inside too...

Park Tool Cyclone Chain Scrubber on BBSxx?

They are probably minimizing warranty claims, where users are completely degreasing the chain using a cleaning machine, but failing to fully lube up again with a quality lubricant. If you meticulously lube the chain up again after a deep clean, then I see no problem. Grinding paste is the real...

Park Tool Cyclone Chain Scrubber on BBSxx?

Yeah, what I thought too, but there seems to be a lot of debate on the web, whether you should or not. Probably an old wives tale lol.

Park Tool Cyclone Chain Scrubber on BBSxx?

Are you using one on your KTM? I assume the Bosch system has some sort of clutch in the crank, so how do you get the scrubber to work?

So hot that my controller stopped working

Probably don't need to buy anything that expensive, and if you get a 48v DC fan, you should have no problems running it straight from the battery: MECHATRONICS DC 48V 0.15A 120X38MM COOLING FAN I know this one is not liquid cooled, but I doubt if you need to go that route, just strap the...

    Changing Disc Brake Pads

Yeah, it's probably better to do it this way. When a wheel is removed, then replaced, I usually find I have to realign the caliper to eliminate pad rub anyway. Might as well do it as you describe, reset the caliper piston, give it all a good clean, fit new pads, refit caliper and realign...

So hot that my controller stopped working

Ha ha yes, when an Australian guy was asked at Wimbledon if it got as hot as this in Australia, he remarked that this would be only Spring over there lol

Park Tool Cyclone Chain Scrubber on BBSxx?

Aha, I know this sounds petty, but the Tektro hydraulic brakes manual, advises against turning the bike upside down. Something to do with the air in the system rising into the caliper. Could be absolute b*****x, but there may be an element of truth there, so I tend to play by the rules lol.

Park Tool Cyclone Chain Scrubber on BBSxx?

I've pretty much removed all the factory lube anyway, using Muc-Off chain degreaser. It's good stuff, but can work out expensive. I run the chain through an old rag under power after every ride, and relube using Finish Line dry lube. 500+ miles on the drivetrain and there appears to be no wear...

Park Tool Cyclone Chain Scrubber on BBSxx?

Cheers Michael, I thought that would probably be the case. The moving the wheel idea isn't really for me, as it makes using the scrubber awkward and takes away the convenience it was designed for.

Park Tool Cyclone Chain Scrubber on BBSxx?

Does anyone know if the Park Tool Cyclone Chain Scrubber works on a bike fitted with a BBSxx? The reason I ask, is that once the device is fitted, the user has to back pedal the chain for the system to work. Due to the freewheel in the BBSxx, the chain does not move when back pedaling. So I...

Just ordered a 750w BBS02, my first electric bike !

Please Ted for the love of god, get as much advice as possible before charging, discharging, handling and storing those Multistar High Capacity 6S 16000mAh batteries. I'm sure someone will come along soon to warn you how quickly they could bite you in the arse if you don't follow the correct...

Freddie will be turning in his grave!

Ha haaaa, I found another one. Quick, watch it before this one gets taken off YouTube too. His lawyers are working quick to remove the media, so that real music lovers don't see how talentless he really is. Nothing personal, I just hate it when crap artists think they have the right to cover...

I personally think Konway Vest, or whatever the p**cks name is, has been disrespectful to the late Freddie, by totally murdering his song

About to buy BBS02 750w kit

Thing is, you may find that by the time you get one shipped from BMSbattery, Eclipse may have them back in stock anyway. I've been hearing about delays of batteries shipped from China recently. Dave should be able to indicate how long it takes for his stuff to come from BMSbattery.

About to buy BBS02 750w kit

Take Dave's advice Tony. LiFePO4 is bulky, heavy and needs installing inside the frame securely and preferably with padded shock protection. The 48v 11.Ah bottle batteries are easy to fit, robust, and if you wait untill you can buy the one from Eclipse, perfectly fine with the BBS02 750w 25A...
