    Formula E

Does anyone know the specs of the batteries used in the Formula E cars, or are the car details kept secret like Formula 1? http://www.fiaformulae.com Couldn't spot anything on the official website, but saw that one of the cars was running 150Kw of power on the in car display. Guess the motors...

    Kudos Tornado 'Eats Hills'

That's nothing, my BBS02 eats mountains :p No, joking aside, that's one good looking bike, and would be on my list if I were after a ready made bike ;)

Crank drive pedelecs: chain wear and maintenance

Like d8veh, I'm running a massive amount of torque from a BBS02 through an 11T, and it hasn't slipped once either. On occasions I'm adding some serious leg power to the mix too. Don't give up, I'm sure you'll find a solution ;) Edit: You must have posted at the same time... Maybe it's time to...

Crank drive pedelecs: chain wear and maintenance

I feel for you Mike. Would you mind reminding us what bike/motor you're riding please.

Crank drive pedelecs: chain wear and maintenance

Try unscrewing the 'b' tension screw of the rear derailleur right off, but not so much that the top jockey wheel bumps into the lowest gear.

Ghostly bike! Will a moving e-bike balance without a rider?

Just did and my brain exploded into the stratosphere

I had a strange experience today

Lol, yes indeed. Maybe my fear comes from remembering as a kid, careering out of control down a steep grassy bank, with my rear wheel locked, and coming a cropper at the bottom. Yeah, stupidly that was on a racing bike. Those were the days :D

I had a strange experience today

Getting ever more impressed with the climbing abilities of my BBS02, I climbed a monster of a grassy bank today. It was about 70 metres long, but deceptively steep. Only when I had got 5 metres into the climb, did I realise I had to commit, as stopping was not an option. The bike powered up the...

Ghostly bike! Will a moving e-bike balance without a rider?

As you appear to be a chap who likes to experiment and tinker, why don't you attach a motorized gyroscope to the saddle. Then it won't fall over ;)

Xiongda 2 speed motor kits now available at Panda Bikes

Yeah, sorry, now spotted the post by Panda. I had done a search on the forum for Xiongda, but it didn't throw much up. I'm sure the search function is worse than it used to be, or something to do with using a tablet instead of PC :(

    Sheared screw - help please!

+1 This will definitely work if you have enough bolt still poking out. I'll add that once you have cut the slot in the face, then spray a little penetrating oil on the thread to help ease the bolt out. Squirt it from the other side, so it really works into the thread. Been there, done that on...

Small snippet on electric bikes BBC Click 13/06/15

Thought I'd post the link for the discussion that's started over on Endless Sphere about the Mando Footloose: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=70424

Review of my Bafang BBS02 500W/36V kit

If the fixing bolts do not align with the motor, then you may be able to drill new holes in the chainring to fit. It would take some fine measurements to get it right, but doable ;) That Xofo does look suspiciously similar to the Bafang though. Copyright infringement perhaps? Not that the...

Review of my Bafang BBS02 500W/36V kit

Nice build Bert de Groot. The alcedoitalia.it 42t chainring is certainly one of the more useful mods available for the Bafang BBSxx's.

Do these derailleur points needs to be lubricated?

Crikey, what on earth are you doing to that poor bike  Yesterday, I checked the whole drivetrain on my 750w BBS02 with 500 miles, and it doesn't look worn at all.

Do these derailleur points needs to be lubricated?

Just wondering if these points need to be lubricated, or are they sealed?

Change the Bafang BBSxx PAS range... Go on, you might like it

My set-up: Bafang BBS02 48v 750w 25A with C965 display (3 button) This thread is aimed at all the BBSxx owners, who feel that the 0-9 PAS levels on their units are a few too many. It may or may not work on other displays or older controller software. I've always thought that a few of the...
