Why doesn't anyone make custom battery packs?

The market for custom packs for e-bikes is tiny, less than 1,000 packs a year. Then there are plenty of cheap offers from Hobby King. You'd be lucky to get 10 orders a month. Lithium batteries and cells are classified as dangerous goods, you can't legally manufacture packs at home as a business.

A good foldable ebike to commute to work

if you don't have to cycle far, then the Gallego may be the answer as it folds small enough to go under a desk. http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?gallego

    Pump fell off my bike

yay.. I never understand why women worry so much how things look. A plastic bag and a large rubber band keep a few tools and pump together and do not attract thieves.

    Pump fell off my bike

I have Schwalbe MP tyres and usually don't carry a pump. But when I did, I secured it with a large rubber band.

yes, I've seen them in buses in Cambridge. I suppose people would not stare if you fold just the stem.

Newbie question Problem with 8fun 250w mid drive

make sure that the motor is properly in place and the top of the motor housing should touch the downtube so it does not rotate around the BB when it starts.

A good foldable ebike to commute to work

the GoCycle is a very well engineered and fast bike. It is extremely comfortable to ride. I don't think 15 miles a day is too much for it from the point of view of comfort and speed. The only thing wrong with it is its high price tag.

    'Dead' Sirocco CDL

it's not enough for a commuter bike that you expect to get 5,000 to 10,000 miles out of. Don't forget to factor in routine maintenance.

    'Dead' Sirocco CDL

for commuting, I'd replace the Kendas with a pair of Schwalbe Marathon Plus (£45) as matter of course, the zoom seat post with a non suspended seat post (£10) or an NCX seat post (£45). Gear slipping may come from worn teeth on the freewheel.

Breaking a Woosh Sirocco. Worth the effort?

you can't use the CDL motor on another bike. The bottom bracket shell need to be 38mm (diameter) x 68mm (length) x 5mm (thickness ) to house it. The standard BB shell has 35mm diameter (35mm x 68mm), so the CDL motor won't go in. The battery and rack are recoverable but of little value after 2-3...

    'Dead' Sirocco CDL

The Kenda tyres have kevlar belt that protects against some but not all punctures. They are not puncture-proof. IMHO, a bike for commuting needs to be low cost and reliable. Difficult combination. The answer is conversion. It's easy to pick up a good bike and put on it what is good from China...

    'Dead' Sirocco CDL

Woosh are limited on what they can find in China, same as all the other importers. I know so because I spent a lot of time assisting them with the Karoo development. 3 years separate your CDL and the Karoo, you can see the progress. Three years ago, they could not find Avid brakes in China. Now...

    'Dead' Sirocco CDL

I test ride all woosh bikes over the years and make constructive comments. The King Meter manual says that error 30 is communication errors. If I am wrong, I am wrong, only trying to help you while support is not available.

    'Dead' Sirocco CDL

there is always a risk when trying to fix a problem by swapping parts. You could have a damaged cable to start with (error 30 means damaged cable or damaged LCD), installing a new LCD or a controller on a damaged cable can kill the brand new part that you just swap in to test. If you can switch...
