    Leaving the EU

the benefit system is another area where an EU wide solution can fix but not individual member states.

    Leaving the EU

I think the current negociation between Turkey and the EU shows clearly that Turkey is the best place to host the millions of Middle East refugees and the EU is the only organisation with the resources to pay for this.

E-Bike suitable for towing Special Needs Trailer

I accept that front drive is not good on steep hills when the road is wet. I suggested the crank driven woosh Bali to fit within the OP's initial £1,000 budget but it's not a proven solution. The BPM motor is.

    Leaving the EU

Tillson, be a little more realist. There are 24 millions Syrians, most if not all of them qualify for refugee status. Where in the world would you like them to live and bring up their children? In the same vein, there are 33 millions Iraquis and 34 millions Afghans. We brought war to their...

E-Bike suitable for towing Special Needs Trailer

ezee bikes with front hub motors tow trailers perfectly OK for more than 10 years. The 180mm BPM motors are perhaps not as well built as the Ezee motors but there is not much difference in it on torque. The Big Bear has also a very potent Lishui 20A controller with 9 FETs, not many hub bikes...

there is no problem when unemployment is low. Fragmentation will lower the flash point when time gets rough.

the frame will be same. I want to use Vee Rubber tyres, not Kenda. woosh bikes are usually about £1,000. This motor may add £100, I don't know. I only know the specs.

E-Bike suitable for towing Special Needs Trailer

you are dead right that there are many variables. Towing a trailer with a 13 year old up a hill is very hard work for any bike. Bosch CD system is a multiplier, you have to put in x, the bike will give you 2x, 3x or 4x depending on the mode you selected. With a full power throttle, the bike will...

E-Bike suitable for towing Special Needs Trailer

SW, granted that hub motors are not made for off-roading but I think the BPM torque will obliterate any Bosch motor, even the CX. Also, for towing a trailer, you can't beat the convenience of a full throttle.

    New Gtech ebike

I am sorry but your bike's BMI* is like your BMI - measured in kg/m2, big battery, big motors and small wheels are definitely uncool. *The Gtech's BMI is 16kg/(700mm * 700mm)=32.65kg/m2

    Leaving the EU

of course there is some truth in what you are saying, Tillson, I agree with you especially on 'there is no financial plan apart from winging it' but hope you are not suggesting we should do nothing about the refugee crisis because 'it's not our problem'. Here is the map of asylum applications...

that may be. That's why the EU and the very large blocs can solve such a big problem. Not little England alone.

    Leaving the EU

Tillson, there are 4 main groups of asylum seekers: Syrians, Afghans, Iraquis and Northern Africans. They are all entiled to our protections under 2 UN Conventions, 1949 and 1951 because of wars or unstable political situations in their countries of origin. In general, successive UK governments...

    Leaving the EU

at the heart of the Brexit debate, I think most people do not make a clear distinction between political systems and administrations. We do not vote directly on policies. Every 5 years, we vote for 1 person that most of us know nothing about other that his/her political affiliation and trust...
