    Leaving the EU

    I think the 2.2 millions over the last 5 years is much nearer to the truth. Yes, it seems to add pressure to housing, schools, the NHS but you can take this positively because with an ageing population, we would face even a bigger budget deficit without them.

    New Member - New Ebike Owner (Almost) - Advice?

    you should be careful where you keep your bike, at home and at work. Rain water is the traditional enemy of electronics and wiring, so you need to cover your bike is you don't have a bike shed. You also need a good pump with pressure gauge.

    Looking to Start Building and Selling Ebikes in My Area

    the above is good advice. About planning your sales margin: be extra careful, it's only too tempting to cut your margin to the bone for a quick start. The difference between staying in business on the second year or not is down to the correct margin, too high, you don't maximize your profit, too...

    Leaving the EU

    Unlike Boris Johnson, Portillo never rubbished the Remainers' arguments. He will listen carefully, then replies. I like his mild manners. Fast forward to time index 27:50 if you want to listen. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b073gmxw/this-week-10032016

    Leaving the EU

    After QT, I stayed up to watch Andrew Neil's This Week. Portillo impressed me by his experience and manner. I thought he'd pull a lot more heart strings than brash Boris Johnson.

    Leaving the EU

    After Boris' caduque edit, the Sun's story did not do the Brexiters much favour. These little setbacks will pass, confusion over access to the single market did not help. I think it's not too late, Brexiters can still win. The problem is presentation. The Brexiters need a much more articulate...

    Leaving the EU

    result of the first two weeks of campaigning: Remainers: 40% (up 3%), Brexiters: 37% (down 1%), Undecided: 18% (down 2%). Still surprising to see the audience of last night's QT remain by and large in favour of Brexit. I reckon the lack of unity on the Brexiters side did all the damage. and...

    it can be the outer gear cable setting down. ask a friend to help you lift the rear wheel up and shift the gear quickly up and down. Adjust the barrel if needed. If it's settling, usually turn the barrel one turn anti-clockwise will fix it. Check also the brake rotor. You should have about 1mm...

    Bultaco Brinco

    why not? power (in Watts) = torque (in NM) * angular speed (radians/s) a 250W motor at 60NM will rotate your 700C wheel at 250W/(60NM * 2 radians *PI()) = 0.66rev/s, equals to 0.66 * 4.4m/s equals to 10.5km/h or 6.5mph.

    IRRC Tonaro did not claim 120NM, it's their UK agents who, I believe, got the F/R ratio the wrong way round. The Tonaro motor delivers around 70NM at the chainring.

    Go Faster Dongles! Here's another to consider

    Flud, you like physics, let me explain. On flat roads and up to 15mph, the motor gives between 5WH per mile to about 12WH/m depending on the rider's fitness. That means that at 15mph, the motor outputs 75W of mechanical assistance to a fit rider (5WH/m * 15m/h) and up to 180W to a very unfit...
