Wondering if my lovely Raleigh Superbe can be converted to Pedalec?

Flecc's Correct, geared hub motors are very reliable. I have a Q128 that is about 5 years old. I've put about 2500 miles on it, and I bought it secondhand. In all that time I've done no maintenance on it what so ever.

Replacement motor (+controller) for Oxydrive kit

If I read it correctly, the OP is saying that the flattened part of the shaft does not extend all the way to the end, making the end part of the axle 14mm and round. If this is the case, how do the anti-rotation washers fit on? Some pics will help, as I'm starting to suspect a misunderstanding ....

Accident with a pedestrian on my ebike

If I were in your shoes I'd be a bit more wary of what I say on a public forum. Giving the GPS coordinates and postcode of the accident narrows right down. If you now modify the bike back to legal I'd guess that's perverting the course of justice. I make no moral judgement here, just saying...

Can someone identify this bike, in order to find a battery?

I've used Vbat before, they are very good.

Volt Metro / BH Emotion EasyGo Volt / Kuo+

If you look at the kudos website, it lists it as 220W, in the 'specifications' tab. If I were looking for a folder the secret would be top of the list.

New Project: Orbit Orion Hybrid/Shimano Alfine 11-Speed Hub Gear/EBC 500W FWD Kit

Put a bigger rotor on it, then add some spacers and longer bolts to move the caliper further out.

Woosh krieger bike, needs motor replaced, everything else works fine. Happy to ship at buyer's cost.

Thanks John, but I was only interested in it for parts. Sounds like you have a better result now that it's fixed.

    Flat foot bikes non electric

Here's my cruiser, going on eBay this weekend (local pickup, Devon, no good for you). It's an Electra, single speed with back pedal brake. You wouldn't want to be going far up hill, unless you were young/light/fit. You can get them with hub and derailleur gears, better choice for your dad...

Looking for child seat for 5-year old son with autism

Sorry to hear about the injuries! Perhaps I would share your view if I lived in London. Where I live in Devon it's probably a different set of risks.

Looking for child seat for 5-year old son with autism

My view is slightly different (no shouting necessary, your view is as valid as any) It's important to spend quality time with your children, teach them how to exercise, and to enjoy the outdoors. It's also important to teach them how to take acceptable risk. For me and the boy, bikes ticked all...

    What's the best 250 watt...

No, that is specifically mentioned in the legislation as an 'off road' button, and against the rules. But, you don't need it. Just run your 250w motor at higher power.

    What's the best 250 watt...

The only way to be legal is to have a motor rated no more than 250 w. Doesn't really matter how much power you feed it, as long as it says 250w on it. (...And is limited to 15.5mph etc)

    NuVinci Marmite

As you say, marmite. I tried it and didn't like it. I suspect my wife would love it, so I'm not telling her about it or it'll cost me.

Bafang CST Electric bike Kit + 20Ah Battery For Sale

Its a good bike. I'm only getting rid because I don't need so much assistance any more. I used to tow a child behind quite a bit. Obviously it's not strictly legal. Goes about 24mph, climbs like a beast, peaks at about 1.2kW. I'm lucky enough to have my own private estate to which the peasants...

    Upgrading batribike motor

I did suggest to the OP that there were options for tweaking what he already has, but he didn't ask me to elaborate. He seems hell bent on buying a new motor.

Woosh krieger bike, needs motor replaced, everything else works fine. Happy to ship at buyer's cost.

I'm in north Wales next week, and I'm looking for a battery. I'll happily pay the asking, as a new battery will cost me about £250. It may be better for you to get it fixed, I don't know. But at least you have an offer on the table.
