    26 to 27.5 spokes

I have a hub I'm considering reusing but its on a 26" rim. I want to rebuild it as a 27.5. The current spoke length I believe is 198mm, what size would I need assuming the same lacing pattern?

    Carrera crossfire/vulcan tuning

The speed sensor is likely the white wire from the motor, the other small wires are the halls. If you are going to cut this make sure you can rejoin it as the controller may just throw an error code

The pcb is potted in silicone so that may be difficult

Freego Eagle Derestriction - Magnet Trick?

A few ways to try. Find the manual for your lcd. There is likely some hidden settings you can access with speed settings. Failing that the controller is under the battery, look for a loop of wire joined to itself and unplug it

    Large motor connector

Anyone know where I can get one of these in the uk? I want to attempt to change the controller on my carrera without butchering the original parts so I will need this connector to do it: http://www.higoconnector.com/projecten/motor-connector-designed-drive-500-bikes

    1000/1500 battery

My thoughts too, as most e bikers are sensible people and they don't make any noise I think they are using discretion, I saw a 1000w bolt past police and they didn't even acknowledge it. I've noticed most people don't even realisd I'm on an ebike tbh. And like you say they'll not catch you...

    1000/1500 battery

I'll be doing a cheap hub first to test the waters, although those are a nice bit of kit. I'd just get a 125 or a scooter but I have nowhere to keep it, an e bike can be kept out the way in the house. For someone like me the ability to register these would be great, but seeing as it's near...

    1000/1500 battery

I was looking at a bike with 48v 17ah battery, 1500w motor. Interestingly it's also available in 10ah I don't see that going very far. I wouldn't be hooning it all the time, just doing what I do with a lower power bike just using a medium level of assist with bursts of throttle when needed

    1000/1500 battery

What size battery would I need roughly for about a 30 mile range with a high power kit? I don't mean gunning it all the time I mean achievable on medium assist with some climbs? Considering a higher power setup for the first time. Or is 500w more realistic for longer ranges?

    Carrera crossfire/vulcan tuning

I have an idea to derestrict the bike without having to damage the original setup in case you want to go back. You remove display, controller, pedal sensor, basically the guts of the bike but leave the motor in place. You may have to cut the battery wires and add connectors for those as I think...

Vengeance e spec plastic thingy above chain

Yes and sadly it doesn't always work as I've found out with my vulcan lol. Mind it was on some dodgy woodland terrain

    Adapting my old batteries

I want to use my old batteries on my carrera vulcan e spec. I have tried to find an empty case to trasfer the inner packs to without any luck. Is there any way I can use them? Frame bag maybe?

    Kit for carrera valour

I love my vulcan but am losing hope for taking the limiter off. I have a carrera valour mountain bike that would be a decent donor. Requirements: 27.5 wheel At least 12ah battery 8 speed cassette Does at least 20mph unlimited Has the "legal" appearance Good torque, 48v?

    Carrera crossfire/vulcan tuning

So I've got the full story. The guy disconnected the green wire from the pedal sensor. This is the torque sensor. He claims this made his bike go really fast but then he got an error code. In my case the bike went really slow when I did this so total opposite experience

    Carrera crossfire/vulcan tuning

Also he said he crashed and the wire was already damaged. Maybe he'd damaged something else

    Carrera crossfire/vulcan tuning

I had some talk with him and he said green wire between battery and pedals. So I carefully removed the green wire from the connector and tried. I had my doubts, the bike didn't have any errors but it went really slow not fast. He may have meant a different wire as there's a couple that go past...

    Carrera crossfire/vulcan tuning

Ok a little update. I spotted on YouTube comments that someone managed to break the limit by cutting a green wire, but that his bike developed a fault and broke soon after. Not exactly a reliable source or desired result, but it's something lol.
