    Bh emotion

The Tonaro Bighit gets good reviews as a hill climber. The battery is at the rear, although I reckon it's well integrated. Throttle too :) Home Page of Powerpedals electric bicycles

    Torque arm challenges

You could always buy a torque arm from Cycleezee: Shop - electric bikes and conversion kits They have a lot more scope for adjustment, and may fit on your bike where I've fitted mine. Mine are attached to the frame at the rack mounting and I think I used either an M5 or M6 bolt. They are...

    Kudos Ibex no-throttle disaster!

I find a throttle useful for very tight low speed maneuvers, where I use one foot on the ground to help carry it out. Especially useful if doing this on an uphill slope. The throttle keeps the motion flowing.

New Light runs direct from battery.

Cheers d8veh, the fuse is only going to be added to protect my Cycle Analyst, if the light should short. I should add, that I have one of those power jack plugs which exits the C.A. and supplies battery voltage to the plug. Gonna mod the light with a jack socket, fuse and switch for a neat...

Me too. Anyone advise what fuse rating should be used inline for this light?

    Grace UK and Ireland

Dare I say it...... ok, here goes.... David, will customers be able to special order the S-Pedelec version of the Grace MX, with the same kind of warranty as the standard bike? There you go, I said it

    Request for Bosch tech info

Thanks Jez. Not trying to yank yer chain, but I'm usually pretty sceptical when it comes to stuff like this. Especially at that price  Edit: Arrrrrrrrr, the link you provided actually shows an extra dongley thing, compared to the original link. Maybe I was wrong :o

Two different resistors :p Pop their website link on here and we'll have a look.

    Request for Bosch tech info

Is it just me, or does it look like that dongle does nothing more than short out 2 wires in the controller, when the headphone connector is plugged in  Maybe the plug contains a resistor, like those dodgy add on units you can buy for your car to improve fuel economy. Pay 100 quid to...

Trek / CST motor / Hydraulic Disc Brakes / Cassette

Both are 26" wheels. Must be the angle the picture was shot. The motor is a MAC 10T from Cellman and is a torquey beast ;) WOT = Wide Open Throttle (basically full beans on the throttle) As for you fitting the battery inside a triangle bag in the frame. On a quality bike like yours, I...

Trek / CST motor / Hydraulic Disc Brakes / Cassette

    2) Are controllers usually bolted to the frame or can they sit in a triangle bag with the battery so they can be unplugged and removed at will to remove the weight ? My 30A 9 fet controller sits inside my triangle frame bag alongside a 48v 15Ah Ping. There is around 1cm air space along the...

    Cyclamatic Bargain Alert

Buying one of these as a first step into electric bikes is a no brainer. Sports HQ are pretty quick and reliable at sorting out any warranty issues for the first year. Then you probably have one of the most tinkered with budget bikes on the forum. This means that after the warranty expires...

    Torque arms?

Here are piccys of the cyclezee torque arms attached to my Specialized Hardrock. I fitted one on each side as I am running a boatload of torque.

    Another cyclist death this morning.

I'm sure I've read somewhere that it's lawfully ok to ride on a footpath, if you deem the road you are travelling on to be unsafe to ride. Might be b****x, but maybe someone else can back this one up?

    new bike from Giant

Yeah, you're not wrong. What a crock of s**t  " How much does this bike weigh? It’s a common question, and rightly so. But the truth is, there are no industry standards for claiming bike weights—and this leads to a lot of misinformation. Variances exist based on size, frame material...

    DNP Epoch Freewheels..and gearing question

I've been running a DNP 7-speed 11T for about 1000 miles. Not sure if I have the new type though. I would say that it is slightly noisier than Shimano equivalents, but not by a great deal. One potential problem though, if fitting to a hub motor, is the lack of support at the 11T end with...

    ecrazyman controler

I'm sure one of the controller gurus will be along soon, to give a definitive answer on this one. I'm fairly sure that the twin mode controllers automatically detect a hall sensor fail, and switch over to sensorless without user input. If yours isn't running without the hall sensor...
