    ecrazyman controler

I remember when I bought a controller from him, that I had to specify that I wanted a sensorless controller. I don't think he sells a controller that does both in one single unit. BTW, his sensorless controllers are surprisingly smooth when run with a geared motor, and are instant start ;)

Intermittent battery cut out - cyclamatic

You sound like you are fairly confident with a little experimentation, so to totally rule out any problems with the brake levers or the way you ride, you can do the following: Unscrew the cover on the side of the controller compartment, underneath the battery docking base. Then trace the...

Intermittent battery cut out - cyclamatic

Hee hee, yeah the Problematic did have its fair share of breakdowns. Reminds me of a Renault eleven I once owned. Boy, the Problematic didn't have a patch on that thing

Intermittent battery cut out - cyclamatic

I did notice when I owned my Cyclamatic, that the battery takes an awful beating from road shocks. The whole battery actually moves up and down slightly in its mounting. This causes the poor contact with the prongs problem. Arcing from the movement, causes tarnishing of the contacts. Also, the...

Intermittent battery cut out - cyclamatic

Flaming heck hech, were you slightly inebriated when you wrote that? Clean the battery contact prongs on the bike with a rag and some contact cleaner. Rubbing alcohol will do, If hech hasn't got to it first ;) Then do the same with contacts on the battery, but use a cotton bud to get...

Anyone need some chunky, heavy duty torque arms/plates?

Purchased a 3-speed handlebar mounted controller switch from this vendor: Zenid e-Bike Parts I also noticed on the site that he sells some seriously heavy duty looking torque arms/plates. These may be suitable for someone who is designing a tough off road bike, or who uses a lot of regen...

On the old style 250w brushed, there is an option to choose between 24/36v when you scroll to the bottom of the page. You are correct that you can't do this when ordering the new style, and they confirm this in the blurb: '' Suitable for all type of bike(mountain bike /road bike/normal...

    NuVinci

As quoted on Grace's website on the MX version: 'There’s a lot of hightech kit hidden behind so much apparent elegance – an automatic power transmission means you are always using the best gear ratio' When they say automatic, do they mean fully automatic as in no need for manual changing? I...

    Electric glue gun suitability

Luckily, waterproofing the area wont be an issue, it'll be more of a heat issue. The pcb and sensors are likely to encounter large heat fluctuations. I have no idea how hot, but the motor can get warm on the outside, so inside must be toasty. I think things may hot up a little too much for...
