    Windows 10

I found out the hard way. After upgrading my PC from windows 8.1 to windows 10, my BBS01 programmer stops working. No driver for the Prolific serial to USB.

Here is my experience with BMS Battery

let me put it this way: not telling the customers that some cheap rate freight options are not suitable for battery and sting them later on is akind to holding someone over a barrel. Also, when you ordered something and paid for it to be sent by airfreight, how long do you think is reasonable...

Here is my experience with BMS Battery

think twice before you buy from them. Until now, my experience of bmsbattery was good. On my last order, they took a month to move the goods from the warehouse to testing then asked me to pay $40 extra. Of course I said no to that.

    Bike under £800?

For your commute distance and height, if you want a folder under £800, the Woosh Gale with 13AH battery costs only £619. Avoid folders for commuting if you can. They are much less comfortable to ride long distance every day than normal full size bikes with proper suspension. The Woosh Petite is...

    Hub drive with fluid clutch

my experience with Shimano hub gears is that I can't tell the difference in efficiency between Shimano hubs and derailleurs, certainly much closer than 90 % vs 98%.

    which folder

the zephyr-B is really an e-mtb that also folds. For comfort, speed and power, the Zephyr-B is better.

    Hub drive with fluid clutch

the NuVinci hub gear uses a similar concept.

    More good news

about time too. I can't see how manufacturers can continue to justify £2k+ price tags on an everyday e-bike.

    khalkhoff latest pedelec system

@ robint. The new crank drive bikes are a lot more powerful than your old motor, derailleur is definitely better than 8-speed hub gear.

    khalkhoff latest pedelec system

there are plenty of good bikes now. I wonder if there is a need to pay £2k for a good machine any more. I am seriously considering to hit the buy button on this one (£1400 delivered): http://www.mhw-bike.com/haibike-sduro-hardseven-sl-27.5-400wh-36v-grau-lime-matt-2015-3536 The reason for the...

yes to a new bike. Although you could get a replacement battery from Germany or buy a replacement 24V cellpack from China for much less. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/24v-25-2v-17-6ah-e-bike-li-ion-battery-black-new-SAMSUNG-cell-/221863044361

    batribike diamond xl pro

Derestrict your bike lets you keep the assistance at over 15mph but won't make it climb hills better. What you need is more torque to climb hills. Your friend's bike is a crank drive, it has a stronger motor than the motor on your bike and you can also change gear to increase torque. What you...

    SpezElec says how you do..

it's good that you have ruled out SLA. A 36V SLA battery on its own weighs more than your Sirrus. If there is an e-bike shop near where you live, you should really go see them and test ride a few before buying a kit. Don't rush into buying anything before you know what you like. Then come back...

    SpezElec says how you do..

How many members ride an e-bike with 200W power? I'll give the OP two weeks before he'll want to go faster with his Sirrus.

    SpezElec says how you do..

It depends on how fast you want to ride. If you only want light assist then it's OK, you can fit the 120mm 8-Fun SWXU motor for example but not the larger motors such as the 128mm 8-Fun SWX02 because the casing will foul against the insides of the fork. Small motors of course give less power...

    SpezElec says how you do..

the fork is tapered, not easy to find a front hub motor for it. As soundwave said, it would be better to fit an 8-Fun CD kit http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?cdkit

Need to find strong tube for my rack

I saw that Thule rack fitted to a woosh Zephyr CDN, it's incredibly strong and rock solid, it can take my weight easily without sweat. It's well engineered as it's made by Thule and Thule equals German engineering. The Axiom Journey rack is OK but the weakest link is where it's attached to the...
