A working dongle - at last

I expect you will soon learn to multiply by three, after all you only need to know the speed within an mph or two. The battery indicator bars still works as they should. I think they are better, because the range number goes up and down depending on the loading on the motor at that time. The...

50 Mile round trip commute, feasible or not?

Yes, I think it is probably best. This journey will be a bit of a haul even on a moped. I expect a sensible motorbike dealer would recommend a 90-125cc, assuming the licence can be sorted.

50 Mile round trip commute, feasible or not?

Not even worth thinking about a 50 mile commute on an ebike. A moped would do it, the OP weighs next to nothing and being 50, she probably has the groups on her licence to ride without L plates. I'm far from sure about the licence part, but the OP can legally ride a moped on a full car...

A working dongle - at last

I was disappointed with the new Bosch motor I tried because I couldn't tell any difference. Not that I was expecting miracles, but an incremental improvement here or there would have been nice. Can't answer your battery question fully, but you would have to change the mounting cup and locking...

    XiongDa Two-Speed Motor

Nearly 40 quid a kilo. I bet you don't let the mechanic put a dollop of that on his garden gate.

    New Oxygen MTB

The bike now features on the Oxygen website. Not the best-designed site I've seen, but it does appear Oxygen is slowly getting its act together. The product looks good, if they can match that with good marketing, they could do well. http://www.oxygenbicycles.com/

An offer too good to refuse?

The owner of my local bike shop told me about 20 per cent of new bike sales are Cycle to Work. He's content to supply the bikes, but they need to be at full price to make it worthwhile. Another impact of the scheme is it has all but killed his secondhand trade. Previously, a new bike sale...

    Kalkhoff Sahel Premium i360 Harmony

The front end of my AVE MH7 is surprisingly compliant - rigid forks and 20" Big Apples. The bigger Big Apples on the Sahel could make for a comfortable but still direct front end, particularly if there is a bit of spring in the forks. As regards the weight, that taken off by the rigid forks...

Kudos Duke or Pedego Classic Cruiser?

I'm starting to feel sick. At least they haven't got matching luggage.

An offer too good to refuse?

Are you buying a bike or are you buying a bargain? If the former, then assuming this device is in stock you could be riding it by the weekend and have forgotten what you paid for it by next week. If the latter, then you can carry on trawling around for months and months and probably never buy...

Kudos Duke or Pedego Classic Cruiser?

The OP joined on June 7, posted, but has not been back since that day. He even missed Trex telling him to buy a Big Bear - not many people on here manage that.

    Woosh Santana CDL

Bosch beg to differ, this is a lift from the Speed (old-shape battery) instructions: Switching Start-assistance On/Off The start-assistance function can be used for additional sup- port on the first meters when starting is difficult (e. g., at a traffic light or when starting uphill).  The...
