    Who's riding about in Cornwall?

Sorry JackH, didn't understand a word of that. Can you type it all again, just more slowly please? :-) Haha, glad you and Mr Foul had a good ride. I spent all day looking out over the Fal, longing to be out there.

    Who's riding about in Cornwall?

I've been working in Kernow so much lately that I've started to say dreckly, and put jam and cream on the wrong way round. On my travels I have spotted a few fellow 'lectrick bikers from my car: A Guy who rides the road from Helston to Redruth often. Going toward Redruth in the afternoon. A...

    Question about batteries

You should be ok to use them in series, but I've never tried it. Be aware that 72v DC is getting into the danger zone as far as shocks go. A DC shock is more dangerous than an AC shock, because of the chance of muscle contraction. Just be careful is all I'm saying. It only take 20mA to stop...

Rear disc brake snapped off, hub wired through frame

I think you should post some pictures, and tell us what make / model the bike is. I would very surprised to find a bike where rear wheel removal is not possible.

'He' was also fairly concerend about flashing 'his' knickers, because 'he' was wearing a skirt. It does pay to know your customer.

    So Confused....

I'm surprised that you had trouble with the Whisper - They have a good reputation among the owners on here. Perhaps you have been unlucky. Maybe the dealer is not up to scratch?

    bicycle sidehack

Right, I gave it a try. Its quite fortunate for me that my neighbours already consider me a little eccentiric, because otherwise they would have questioned my actions. Had I been asked, I would have answered truthfully 'I'm just checking which way around the steering works on my bike'...

Donor Bike for a new e-bike Conversion

Don't know how far a rim is expected to last with rim brakes, but mine has lasted more than 1500 miles so far. Even if it needs changing, a new high quality rim is £20-30, and it took me a couple of hours to change and true after I destroyed a rim a few weeks back (pothole). I guess a good bike...

Donor Bike for a new e-bike Conversion

I agree. I have had several mech disk, and rim brakes. Good rim brakes (linear aka V brakes) are just as good as mech disks for road use. In fact, I would say that my rim brakes require a lot less fiddling than my disks. Hydraulics are a different story from what I hear....

Wireless charging - particularly booster packs or headlight packs

If that's true then it's a great idea. I think I'd want to stick a meter on it to be sure though....
