    Nuts and Bolts.

This flow chart has always served me well over the years and may be of assistance to you if you attempt a repair on someone else's bike.

    Bulgarian and Romanian Immigrants

That is how it works in a laboratory. What has happened in the reality is that demand HAS increased due to there being more people. Spending on health per head of population fell in 2010 and in 2011, but he budgets were not cut. Why was this? It is because more people were placing demands on the...

    Bulgarian and Romanian Immigrants

I still believe that the problems which I listed are due to overpopulation. The more people that there are living in a country, the more demand there will be on the services and infrastructure of that country, Time wasters at A & E Departments and Doctor's surgeries have always existed and...

Here's a clue. You are in the Charging Post section, "Anything that is not electric bike related".

    Bulgarian and Romanian Immigrants

That would be the kindest thing, but it won't happen like that. World population is doubling at an alarming and unsustainable rate. We will simply run out of food and as a result, society will collapse suddenly and catastrophically. It has to happen, the world can only support a finite number of...

    Bulgarian and Romanian Immigrants

I believe that to compare the present imigration situation into the UK with that of historical imigration into the USA gives a false impression. The USA is / was a vast land mass with an abundance of natural resource, materials and food producing capacity. This was set against a very low...

Bike recovery ( for if you breakdown / puncture)

I can't see the point of this bike recovery insurance. Stick the £5 per month in a bank account and use the money to pay for a taxi home if you break down. After five years, you will have enough left over for a good deposit on a new bike or a fair chunk towards a new battery. You will probably...

    Bulgarian and Romanian Immigrants

I don't think it's the fact that they are, "foreigners," that concerns people. As someone has already said, if we go back far enough most of us will find our ancestors in other countries. I think the major concern for people, me included, is the swelling of the population of the country and the...

    Bulgarian and Romanian Immigrants

Has anyone seen any Bulgarians or Romanians yet? I've just read in the Daily Wail that they are set to invade in the morning, arriving by bus and aeroplane. Apparently, the first wave will arrive by plane, parachuting in and securing the benefits offices, and then the second wave will arrive by...

    Schumacher's Helmet

I've got an Aldi snowboard helmet and it's very good for keeping my head and ears warm during the winter, but so is a woollen hat. I tend to wear a cycling helmet most of the time, but it's just out of habit rather than it being a calculated measure to reduce the probability of sustaining a...

    Schumacher's Helmet

I have difficulty in understanding how a cycle helmet protects the brain when striking something blunt like a road surface or pavement. There is virtually no cushioning inside a cycle helmet, so the brain will still experience high G, similar to if no helmet was being worn. On the other hand, I...

What to do with my Agattu

As you say, the front is relatively easy, but I'm not sure it's going to be possible to put a disk brake on the rear wheel.

    Get noticed on your bike in 2014 with the monkey light;

I hadn't noticed the price. I might be wrong, but it seems inconceivable that anyone could view this as a product which will make money and then put it into production. Who would spend such an amount on these lights? Until they come down in price, I'll wedge plastic Smarty tube lids in my...

    Merry Christmas From Cyclezee

Amidst all of the merriment and festive excitement, let us not forget to take a moment to reflect upon and to remember those who will separated from their relatives this Christmas. The lucky b@stards.

    Merry Christmas From Cyclezee

So that's why Santa has his picture on the wall in my local branch of Wonga, with the words, "Employee of the Month" written underneath it. It's Christmas!

    Road Tax...again

They did a similar thing with MoT certificates a few years ago by ceasing to issue a physical paper certificate. Motor insurance, MoT and VEL are all linked into the Police's computer systems and ANPR system, so the need for an easily forgeable paper disk in the window has gone. The VEL (Road...

    Meeting with Bosch

On the face of it, these batteries do seem expensive when compared with budget Chinese offerings, and I used to think that we were being screwed by the likes of Panasonic and Bosch with their seemingly high replacement replacement battery cost. With time, I have learnt that quality batteries...

    3 lights off 36v Battery

Yes, Amp hour (Ah) is current x time. 1 Amp drain for 1 hour is 1 Amp hour, 2 Amps for 1 hour is 2 Amp hours, 5 Amps for 30 minutes 2.5 Amp hours. You are probably getting the idea now. Things aren't quite as straightforward though, particularly with high rates of discharge. Foe example, a 10...

    3 lights off 36v Battery

I am supplying more or less the same set up as you. I wired my DC-DC converter off the back of the battery connector on the bike with an in-line fuse. The DC-DC converter is rated at 3 Amps and it seems to run cool and has worked well for 12 months.
