    Check your bungees

I left a pannier bag strap undone before setting off. Inevitably, it wrapped itself around the rear sprocket, bringing me to a swift stop. No costly damage done, although getting the chewed strap unentangled from the sprocket took some time and effort.

    Woosh - more dreadful service

I heard an interview with a marketing bloke who said the exposure the Tour de France brought to Yorkshire would have cost X millions of pounds if the authorities had to buy it. He then went on to point out it had cost Yorkshire X millions of pounds to stage their part of the race. So there is...

    Woosh - more dreadful service

Your post illustrates a wider point. This thread 'Woosh - more dreadful service' - may have cost woosh a sale to you, and possibly others. Yet it is no more than a courier collection cock-up. It's not even a storm in a tea cup, it's more like a squall in a thimble. But the OP seeks to...

    KTM Macina Cross problem

You have it about right, but I happen to have workshop instructions for this job on a PDF. Send me an email address by private message and I will ping it across to you.

    Woosh - more dreadful service

I wouldn't worry about it, Hatti has successfully shipped more woosh folders than you've had hot dinners.

    KTM Macina Cross problem

The problem is almost certainly this: http://www.e-bikeshop.co.uk/Servicing/bosch-ebike-popping-noise-fix It's a flat washer inside the motor casing which needs a bit of grease - no more than that. There's no reason why you should have do it yourself, but the job is within the scope of a...

    Woosh - more dreadful service

I reckon Hatti should pass this on to Kudos Dave to deal with. He would sort it, although there might be blood on or two carpets.

    Contemplating...

A Woosh Sirocco2 is (just) under £700 and should meet your needs. It's now one of their older models, but it is well-proved and is a decent, sturdy bike. http://www.wooshbikes.co.uk/?sirocco2

Does an E-Bike make things too easy?

I reckon ebiking has at least doubled my range, but on the downside has more than halved the improvement rate in my fitness. The Bosch system suits me because you do have to pedal all the time, even if you are not putting much effort in. I would like to say this was all part of a grand plan...

Has anyone fitted a Hobson Pro-Hub x2 saddle?

Saddles are such a personal thing it is impossible to advise. But this being the internet, I will say that too wide a saddle could cause your hips to rock on the down stroke of the pedals. That could be cured by lowering the saddle, but as has been said, most riders find that leads to knee...

undecided, short list growing.... confused more advise please!

A 24 mile round trip could be tight on a 10ah battery, particularly in the early stages when you will want to use the assistance more. If the terrain is no more than undulating, the Sirocco 2 with its 15ah battery should do the job well. Whatever you get, make sure it has a rack, mudguards and...

    Woosh - more dreadful service

Hatti, You will have forgotten more about couriers than I will ever know, but I imagine Rose have a contract with DHL speccing minimum numbers and probably other things I can't think of. I'm sure you could strike a deal with them for handling woosh bikes. Might be worth an inquiry, although I...

    Woosh - more dreadful service

Rose use DHL and I found them to be excellent. I was able to ring the local depot on a landline and the man opened the box and checked the contents when I asked him to. The bike was in a box, but with no packaging around it - DHL presumably undertake not to chuck it around, so it doesn't need...

    Punctures

Ride quality on firmer surfaces is the problem with tubeless, which is why you only see them on mountain bikes. A tubeless tyre on cinder tracks or anything harder will not corner or handle nicely - you wouldn't like the experience. This weakness doesn't matter on mountain bike trails because...

    Where to sell

Certainly worth a try. Relatively small readership, but there have been plenty of successful sales.

    Woosh - more dreadful service

There's no reply to that I which wouldn't upset someone, so I will resort to going back on topic. I can't take this thread seriously, if it's about anything at all, it's about poor couriers. Blaming the bike supplier is unfair. That's not to creep around Hatti, I would say the same whoever...

    Sales figures

The car stats you see are registrations which is why they are freely available - the DVLA is prepared to give the numbers. Registrations are not quite the same as sales. If a manufacturer registers a car to itself, the car is not sold as the public would understand the term, but it does appear...

    That's cheating!

If it's a roadie who calls you a cheat, you could say: "At least my cheating is not intravenous."

I reckon it was Col Mustard - aka Kudos Dave - who took the bike out of the cellar. If the OP looks, he will find it in the library.

    Bosch battery endurance test

I've done another endurance test on the same battery. This time I used the AVE on a very hilly route between Lake Windermere and Coniston in the Lake District. Flattened the battery at just on 25 miles.
