Can i buy a 48v 20 aH BMC hub prebuilt bike from anywhere in the UK

I carry the spare battery on the Rose in the bottom of the pannier, but the ruddy bike will still want to tip if I'm not careful. Carrying 20ah+ of power is a problem for which I've yet to see a good solution.

I mentioned in another thread about getting a bike in the next week or two so there's time to get some pleasure from it before the weather closes in. OK, there's always next season, but none of us are getting any younger.

Shocking behaviour, that. Den, lighten up a bit. It was only a few hours ago that grumpy old Dave was refusing to help you. Some forums are a rats' nest, but no one holds grudges or gets too worked up on here, so you post away as often as you like.

None of the people who post what bike threads at this time of the year grasp this point. But it's crucial. A lot of buyers seem to want to wait for new models which means they will buy a bike in September/October or even later and then be barely able to use it for months.

Aye, bobbing around the Med on his yacht. Dunno about Hattie, though. I mean, she's from Essex and drives a Ford. Sounds a bit, er, 'trade' if you ask me.

    My first pedelec experience

Your second comment shows you grasp the general idea. As regards a throttle bike, I am loathe to make any suggestions in case the bike doesn't have what you and I would regard as a proper throttle. There are still a few about, although I doubt it will come fitted to as nice a quality bike as a...

    How Much?

Dreadful device, I wouldn't part with any money for it.

    My first pedelec experience

The Bosch system is designed to replicate ordinary cycling. Generally the faster you pedal and the more effort you put in, the more effort it provides. Works well most of the time, but can be frustrating if you run out of steam on a steep hill. The motor detects your slower cadence and lower...

    Bosch battery endurance test

With my York trip in mind I decided to see how many miles I could wring out of one of my batteries. The test bed was my Rose bike and its original 11ah battery. I carried a spare battery, my large flask, water and the usual tools and spares, making my GVW probably close to 30kg. The route was...

Easy Motion Neo Cross electric bike "Brokenspokes"

A perky motor and the weight a rear wheel has to carry is not a good combination - if you are a spoke. Add disc brakes and it almost amounts to torture. A properly built wheel will handle it, but the budget for one of those is often not there, even on a relatively dear bike.

    What's my Agattu worth?

Old-shape Micras are well-liked by the buying public because they usually provide cheap, reliable motoring. A tidy one is still worth a few hundred when other, often dearer, cars of the same age have no more than scrap value.

just received my KTM E-Cross P

Proper piece of kit. The pannier rack is nicely set back, so you shouldn't have any problems with heel clearance. And the orange lock is a neat touch - picks out the orange detail on the bike. As regards Col's dealers selling more Bosch bikes, I'm not surprised. When people look at the Rose...

Almost everything in Dave's post accords with my understanding. I don't doubt getting supplies on time from China is not easy, and there's certainly no suggestion Andrew tried to mislead anyone. Quite the reverse, and people in the trade like him as person. I believe there was a cashflow...

    What's my Agattu worth?

Unfortunate situation. The bike is worth next to nothing with a nearly shot battery, but is only worth about the price of battery if it had a new one. Spending money on a new battery makes no sense, but it might help the job along if you could find a very cheap secondhand battery which still...

It's all jam tomorrow with Oxygen - I had some of that during my aborted attempt to give them some money. Speaking of which, the takeover was done in March, yet you still can't buy a bike from their website. Half a dozen dealers are listed, one of which is the one I dealt with who hasn't had...

    Cycle Paths

Shared paths can be hard work. I have been one of those annoying pedestrians who wander absent mindedly into the bike part, so I'm not going to moan about that. Extending dog leads are a nuisance, I'm guessing the owner thinks his dog is getting proper exercise while still allowing him to...

The path in the pic looks well, but I see the cars are parked to the left so no doubt everyone wanders across it to get to the promenade on the right.
