    Folders

I don't own one but if I had to buy one, that'd be the woosh Gallego http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?gallego That bike is about the only realistic one that you can think of taking with you on trains, a boat or a plane or even inside restaurants.

    Q128H

the Q128H has several advantages over the xiongda xd: cheaper, quieter, lighter and not requiring a specially setup controller.

    Help needed

it looks like a NiMH battery (nickel metal hydride), 20 cells, 24V. You could probably replace them with a 6S or 7S Lithium ion battery. Something like this: https://bmsbattery.com/ebike-battery/605-24v10ah-li-ion-battery-for-giant-ebike-battery.html

Bafang BBS02 left and right thumb throttles

the throttle is proportional on the BBS0 and BBS02, not on/off. If yours are not proportional then something is wrong in your kit.

check the motor connection then try disconnecting the brake sensor one at a time to isolate the problem.

    Opinions Please.....?

the controller on the TS has Hall sensors, not on the CD motor. John Cade bought a 9AH CD last year (now denwyn still owns) and gave woosh a lot of constructive comments with regard to riding the Sport CD in Wales, which led to the upgrade to more climbing power which in turn requires stronger...

    Q128H

the BPM has 1:5 reduction ratio against 1:16 on the Q128H. To reach 100 rpm for example, the BPM rotor has to reach 500 RPM while the Q128H's rotor to reach 2,200 RPM. Although the core of the Q128 is smaller, it you still have to add the mass of the clutch to the core. Being of two stages, I...

    Crank arms question

when you push down on the left crank, the twist causes a slight deformation of the spindle (which is often used by strain gauges for torque sensing). The deformation of the axle causes the loosening of the crank bolt. This problem is much less on the right crank because much less twist is...

    Opinions Please.....?

I am sorry to hear a member being let down. Hatti is back from her break, I am sure she can offer you a solution. I gather that the problem with parts are down to not having the correct King Meter to go with the old (9AH) Sport CD while the 9AH battery is not strong enough to support the new 20A...

    Opinions Please.....?

in this case, alan103 wanted last year's model because it was much cheaper but woosh having run out of, failed to supply. The point was that he was told differently and kept waiting for a week for nothing. The excuse was that Hatti was on holiday when alan103 wanted to place the order.

    Q128H

how about acceleration from standstill compared with the BPM? I would have thought the Q128H would accelerate more slowly.

    Crank arms question

that's hair splitting a bit. I would have thought that if you are right-handed, your right foot would be stronger and the right crank is more likely to loosen first.

What's the problem with the ebike market?

the problem is volume. The big brands like KTM and Giant have their UK distributors who may have planned to buy x KTM EStreetP and y Giant Roam XR E for 2015, when x and y are sold out, the dealers can't get any more stock. x and y can be quite modest numbers, much less than 100.
