    Volt metro or A2B kuo+ ?

I don't think your bike is restricted. It has the same 8-Fun motor, battery and probably controller as the Woosh Gale which is not restricted and will go up to about 18-19mph if you pedal hard. To get over 20mph, you need 17A or 20A controller and a motor with no load speed at over 320 RPM or a...

    Keeping battery healthy

I recommend that you resist the urge to top it up after every ride to keep the torque high. Wait until you get to 50% of the range of the the bike before topping.

    Volt metro or A2B kuo+ ?

that's right. The maximum speed depends on the motor, controller and battery. All three have to be able to support high speed. Most bikes are not restricted because the motor is not very fast or the controller or the battery not very strong. To go into settings, one usually holds down both...

    Volt metro or A2B kuo+ ?

simple enoough to find out: pedal past 15.5 mph, if the motor cuts out then the bike is restricted.

    Converting Specialized Crosstail

this is a proper hydraulic brake lever with brake sensor: You can keep the calipers but the levers need replacing. It's not difficult to fit but nobody seems to sell Tektro hydraulic levers with sensor.

Throttle only in Europe - what legal & financial hurdles need to be overcome

EN15194 and our laws do not specifically mention the word 'throttle' so how can it be illegal?

    Converting Specialized Crosstail

the best option is to buy hydraulic brakes with built-in sensors. The problem is cost. Woosh sell a pair of hydraulic brakes with sensor for £75 + postage.

Throttle only in Europe - what legal & financial hurdles need to be overcome

I've read something about throttle is allowed on an EN15194 bike if you are disabled and need not apply for number plate.

    Folders

I find it often difficult to recommend most electric folders. Too many are badly designed, equiped with just the bare minimum, obsessed with reducing weight, and usually have an unjustifiably high price tag. Folders need to be not only tough but also comfortable to ride to compensate for their...

    Q128H

the two (or three) tiny springs, you see one of them on the picture, that keep the friction pads tied together. I like the idea of an overunning clutch but as they slip by design to prevent overrun, they can slip when you climb steep hills. The margin depends on the quality of these small springs.

Bullet connectors for motor phase wires

replace damaged bullets then heat shrink. Andersons are excellently designed but far too bulky.

    Q128H

the Q128H is not perfect either. I don't like the design of its clutch, I reckon it can slip under high load.
