How does battery voltage relate to capacity remaining?

the battery's charge versus voltage is fairly linear between 32V and 40V. At 36.4V, I reckon it's about 35%-40% remaining, The useable remaining charge is a bit less if you ride fast. This is the typical discharge curve, for e-bikes, the discharge corresponds to the graphite electrode's plot...

why? Comparing the £995 Ansmann F15 with the £599 Vita, the key characteristics are motor (120mm size), battery (9AH on F15, 10.4AH on Vita) and gearset (27 v 21) are very similar. The Vita is rear driving, meaning more fun, the F15 is front driving meaning more relaxed. Support from Kudos is...

that's very true, the best advertising is word of mouth. Businesses that invest in good training of their support staff will recoup staffing cost in reduced spending on advertising.

warranty = replacement parts + support. the length of warranty is not the whole story, it's the support that counts. Good support costs businesses typically in HR 5-10 times replacement parts.

    Woosh Sport-TS OR Woosh Sport-CD

the throttle on the woosh bikes have a plug in the front of the bike. If you take your bike to Spain where the throttle is not OK, pull the plug.

    Freewheel to cassette conversion?

wrong solution. You need an adjustable wrench with a long handle. I use one with 250mm handle, not specially long but long enough, and step on it with my foot.

that's the market place. Combination of expertise, local service, designs etc. The cost of the bike depends mainly on the battery. On a $700 bike from China, $300 will be spent on the battery, $200 on motor and electronics, $50 on supension fork and brakes, $150 on the mechanical bike. The...

Giant Talon E+1 verses Haibike sDuro Hard Seven

I hope you don't mean that litterally... both bikes are good but not in the sense of shifting weight or letting you rest your weary legs. Crank drives will always beat direct drives on hills.

Crank drive - mid-drive vs. hub motor (Woosh Big Bear / Krieger)

can't beat having a shop nearby, although you are unlikely going to need them much, the Kalkhoff are very well built as you would expect. The Krieger is a cracking bike, my favourite of all the bikes from woosh.
