Who says manufacturing in Britain is dead?

congratulations Rami, I wonder for a long time which one of the vendors on this forum is going to start manufacturing. It seems that painting is the most technically challenging step, are you going to do all the painting in house from now on?

    Opinions Please.....?

on hills, the TS does not have the grunt of the Big Bear. The motor on the TS is a 120mm unit, the BPM on the Big Bear 180mm. Also, the controller on the TS gives 14A max, the Big Bear 20A. The battery on the TS has 9AH, the Big Bear has 15AH. The difference is clear. If you have hills more...

the torque sensor's output is wired to the throttle input. For all purpose, it acts as a throttle, you operate it with your legs instead of your thumb and you can probably unplug the torque sensor and plug in a thumb throttle. If you don't want a torque sensor, don't buy the TS and then the...

    Opinions Please.....?

I haven't ridden the CS2 - can't comment either. Generally speaking, the weight of the bike depends on the weight of motor, battery, gearset and accessories. both the Burisch and the CS2 are similarly equiped, motor, battery, suspension fork, gearing, brakes, propstand - so they should not...

    Opinions Please.....?

I have not ridden the Burisch, so I can't comment. The good point about the torque sensor is that the ride is much more akin to riding a normal bike, like having bionic legs, much more enjoyable and power delivery is both logical and natural.

a torque sensor is a replacement for the throttle, except that a torque sensor costs more than 10 times the price of a thumb throttle. There is only one other popular bike with a torque sensor in your price range, that's the Momentum.

Tesla battery for home. Ok for a bike?!

tesla will sell two units, 7KWH and a 10KWH. I saw a short video clip on BBC breakfast this morning, some guy in London has it on evaluation. If they sell the 10KWH unit at $3000/£2,000 then it's very competitive, assuming that it has sufficiently long life, 10 years or more. Let's say you...

    Changes Afoot

I am curious about one aspect. Wisper is a well known and well respected brand. Why change from Wisper Bikes to Amps? So who owns the brand Wisper now?

Power/ speed limiter for overpowered bike

No. To be legal, you need a mean to measure the speed and tell the controller when that speed limit is reached. The speed limit is usually programmed via the LCD. Cheap bikes that do not have LCD may implement speed limit by counting the pulses that the controller sends to the wheel times the...

Power/ speed limiter for overpowered bike

the controller controls the power to the motor, the LCD provides a mean to limit the speed of the bike. If you want to limit the power, these two components need to be brought up to date. Post a picture of the bike and motor, we'll try to help you.

    Bafang BBS02 chain line

the angle formed by the ring plane and the rear sprocket plane is proportional to the ring diameter and the sprocket diameter. Smaller ring gives you smaller angle. http://homebicyclemechanic.com/perfect-bicycle-chain-line/

    Bafang BBS02 chain line

I went out this morning for a short ride after breakfast, it was a bit too cold for my liking, came back for coffee and donut.

    Bafang BBS02 chain line

the bigger the chain ring, the bigger the problem keeping a perfect chain line. With the 750W, I think Bafang made an error fitting 48T, should have fitted the smaller 44T. The motor running too fast for me anyway.

    More kit help required

don't underestimate how much energy is soaked up by a suspension fork. I remember trying the lightweight bike at Woosh a few months back, that bike has a rigid fork and fast rolling 700 x 25C narrow hard tyres. I didn't need assist to hit 25mph on the flat. It's on sale as second hand on the...

Need a light electric bike for below £1000

I've got a picture somewhere. Will post when I find it. The bike is an ultralight frame 700C with normal bottle battery. The main thing is it has Magura HS11 or HS33, I can't remember, front and rear to save weight compared to hydraulic discs.
