it's got Tektro Auriga hydraulic brakes like on your Rapide, so can't use inline brake sensors. The brakes are sufficiently powerful, no real need for brake sensors but just a point of curiosity or they've saved some money.

I don't think you can give a kit EN15194 because you can't know their future situation with E where is it? can't see the sensor at the brake levers.

there are plenty of bikes without brake sensors! I don't mean it as a criticism, all the Bosch bikes do not have brake sensors although they don't have throttle and are torque controlled. I reckon you'd get £700 for your Volt Metro.

I agree with John's suggestion, how about selling your Volt Metro second hand and get yourself a new Oxygen 13Ah MTB? You've got a good deal out of Volt for buying two, it should not be a big loss selling one.

the zephyr-b has similar weight, similar BPM motor, same sized wheels, and also hydraulic brakes. The battery is a bit smaller (10AH instead of 13AH) but priced well within your budget.

the Oxygen 13AH MTB is excellently put together, it's a rare thing among Chinese bikes, like the Ebco. You do have to pay a premium for that. Of course, if you convert your bike, then you can do better but most people don't have the skills. One curious point though, the Oxygen 13Ah MTB does...

they'd go like hot cakes if also available at the dealers for £1,200. Given that dealer margin is around 25%, I can't see how SYBC could pass it on to their dealers.

£1,200 direct from SYBC, £1,700 from a dealer, seems about right. Does it mean SYBC are giving up on their dealers? It's a fantasticly good bike for the price. I wonder if Kudosdave is going to cut the price of his Rapide to respond to this.

I've read their terms and conditions. There has always been a 28-day money back guarantee but it's not the same as a 'no quibble' money back guarantee. Their 'no quibble guarantee' applies to their after sale support, like when you've got your battery replaced free of charge after it flew off...

small bikes suffer more wear and tear, possibly needing more looking after and are less comfortable to ride a couple of hours a day. Most ready made folders are not designed for heavy duty 10,000-15,000 miles a year. Do keep that in mind. A conversion will be better.

these batteries have a LVC switch (low voltage connect). It seems to be stuck because either the mechanical switch or the circuit the switch controls no longer functions. Time to contact Eclipse support.
