    Brexit, for once some facts.

A certain person is quoted: Boris Johnson’s former chief adviser Dominic Cummings has called for an investigation into the government’s handling of coronavirus and described the Department of Health and Social Care as a “smoking ruin” when the crisis struck. Please remind me, which party had...

I suggest you don't hold your breath: Why home-produced Covid vaccine hasn't helped India, Russia and China rollouts Challenge of reaching vast, far-flung populations is combined with a lack of public interest...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

At one point, I saw several posts (elsewhere) from people who were ducking PB in order to get their preferred AZ. I suspect most have no real basis for choosing one over the other (or makes yet to arrive). Of course, we are all prone to see reports of, even know people, who reacted badly...

I'm O! :) Whilst there has been research over the years relating blood groups and disease, few have shown clear effects of significance. A lot have been very poor quality research and analysis. Not saying that about this paper - just about to read - but many claims have later been shot down.

Be my guesst. :) However, I am not at all convinced about most claims of efficacy. Because, although we do care about the short-term, what we really want is long-term protection. Some of the work has focussed on antibody levels and am definitely not convinced they are a good measure...

I think you made that point quite clearly. I accept the basic truth (though some other vaccines have been used in some European countries). I just took the UK as, if people here are being "hesitant", it was easy to throw figures together and make my point.

Interesting pics. The side effects/age are the other way round here! I had almost none. Partner, who is slightly older, whilst only getting those which are in the list, felt pretty poorly for a few days.

I wonder how many of those worrying about the possibility of AV causing clots will happily jump onto an aircraft as soon as they can! The risk of developing a clot on a flight was found to be 1 in 5944 flights. Deaths 1 per 2 million for passengers arriving from a flight. (And many have to do...

If any two-dose vaccine that has been used gets withdrawn, we will have people who have had just one injection. So we can sing a little ditty: That's why they call me Second brand Dose :)

I really hope this is his fully independent and deeply considered opinion. No reason to suggest otherwise! But in these days of suspicions... There's no evidence the Oxford vaccine causes blood clots. So why are people worried? David Spiegelhalter...
