What do you think of my new bike?

I use 650B tyres also because of the targetted customers. 700C tyres would look slimmer.

What do you think of my new bike?

the battery is semi-inframe. Bafang set off this trend 3-4 years ago and it does become fashionable. The main advantage of locating it below the downtube is rainwater can't get to it and popping it out is slightly easier than top loaded ones like I have on the Rambla and Rambletta.

What do you think of my new bike?

it can but a second battery could go in a bag under the saddle.

What do you think of my new bike?

about the frame: I know I wanted a frame for our traditionally built customers but should I change for something less 'tank' like?

Bafamg mid drive - where to buy

Actually it is harder this year. Wages go up, energy bills go up, people spend less and search out more for sales and special offers demand is stymied by fire stories in the media. The value of the Pound is lowest since 1985. The only thing that's better is container cost is quite low...

Advice needed before i make decision on whether to purchase bike

everything we talked about is new, not secondhand. the OP wanted to buy a new step through and put a conversion on it. The step through donor bike costs £349 at present, if he/she puts a TSDZ2B + a 48V 10AH bag battery for example for around £500, the total would come in under £900. He/she can...

What do you think of my new bike?

I posted the picture of the battery. It is removeable. The frame has the normal lock and keys. I don't know yet the load rating of this type of racks. I think it's no worse than the usual racks with rods attached to the seat stays. The seat stay rods are not load bearing anyway.

Advice needed before i make decision on whether to purchase bike

there is no way that bike is as good mechanically and electrically as a new bike + conversion kit for a similar budget (£800-£900). My mechanics used to say that low cost e-bikes are made of cheese. That's something I worked on for years to avoid.

What do you think of my new bike?

Battery has Bafang form factor so you can find replacements on the net. They gave me a 48V 15AH on the sample, I paid only for a 48V 10AH.

What do you think of my new bike?

agreed, I am allowed to advertise being a trade member. It's important to collect opinions so if any change is found desirable, I can still make it before commiting to production run.

What do you think of my new bike?

most of my customers are 'traditionally built' anyway. So I have chosen one of the strongest frames, look at the thickness of the toptube. It should cope with 25st riders. One good thing about going with a crank motor is that the stress on the rear spokes are much reduced compared to a rear hub...

Advice needed before i make decision on whether to purchase bike

It's an excellent donor bike, suitable for rear hub, front hub and bottom bracket kits. You still need to factor in the cost of mudguards.
