What do you think of my new bike?

I checked a similar rack on a wisper bike parked in Southend-On-Sea high street sometime ago, it's rock solid. The decision to go with a frame mounted motor as opposed to BB motor is the lack of flex at around the bottom bracket area yielding a lower battery consumption. Also, in the long run...

15A. If there is a configurator, someone is going to push it to 20A.

What do you think of my new bike?

It's not black, it's matt black.. seriously, it should still look chic after a few thousand miles. Fashion comes and goes, I have tried black, white, gunmetal blue, black + yellow, black + red etc. Matt black seems to avoid unwanted attention and stay chic over time. Bafang charge so much...

What do you think of my new bike?

there's a video somewhere. I watched it last year and liked it. It looks a bit like a drill chuck. The harder you pedal, the chuck opens more.

Bafamg mid drive - where to buy

there is a large existing supply chain for Bafang BBSes, so there is no point for me trying to compete with Ali, ebay and amazon sellers. You can get gear shift sensors on Ali for about £10 or £20 on ebay. The main thing dealing with UK established dealers is the support should you ever need it...

What do you think of my new bike?

On the sample: 48V 10AH to hit an important pricepoint but I reckon we could fit 48V12.4AH by the time we go into production for the same pricepoint. Note the front mudguard is not right. The factory is lookingh for a better looking one.

Bafamg mid drive - where to buy

instead of buying the BBS02B from Ali or from EU, you can get the BBS01ET from me! No need to wait a week or two for delivery, no worries about road legality. I also have 48V batteries with Panasonic 21700 cells to match. https://wooshbikes.co.uk/?cdkit

What do you think of my new bike?

It hasn't got a name yet because it's is just a sample at the moment. I am still working on the details. If all is good, it will be in production in January or February. The motor is from Ananda: frame has internal routing:

    Ebike newbie

if anyone is worried about extra cooling on the TSDZ2, don't be if you don't need OSF. I have had none TSDZ2 returned to me because of overheating in 5 years. The usual problem is the blue gear which is now fixed in the B revision. Less frequent faults are blown controller and malfunctioning...

    Ebike newbie

That is rather a good point. A solution to a problem that an average user hardly ever needs to worry about. The small TSDZ2 can be pushed to as much as 48V, 20A with OSF. It's normally designed for 48V 10A. If you stick with the original firmware, you have nothing to worry about.

    Help me buy an ebike

Reading your last post, it seems to me that a 20" folding bike may be better for you because cheap larger bikes will be heavy to push up a hill leave alone riding them up a hill unpowered. Climbing steep hills with smaller wheels is easier with the same power. I suggest you look at the Woosh...

Rear hub kit for a long wheelbase recumbent

Andy will make the cables to suit your bikes. The DP downtube battery normally does not need rivnuts. In the worst case scenario, there are adapters.

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

I ordered TSDZ8 with VLCD5 and throttle. I reckon the controller is the same albeit in a different shape. You can probably just swap out the old TSDZ2 for TSDZ8 and use the old LCD.
