Help! Gtech battery mk1 (round button) Can anyone tell me where the yellow wire goes?

It's pin #5 D8ve aka B4. For the Op the first wire Black is B- and connects to the battery minus or 0V cell end of the first in series , the other 10 coloured all carry a positive supply and in turn each wire is connected to the 10 cells in series , starting at B1+ Brown and numerically going...

Help! Gtech battery mk1 (round button) Can anyone tell me where the yellow wire goes?

As Saneagle has said it is a sense wire now that you have described and shown the extra very poor quality pics, from the pic blown up (though very blurry) it is clear that the Yellow sense wire has come from the vacant positon between the Green & Orange sense wires. Use a meter to get a...

Help! Upgrading my bike for hills

It is nonsense deciding whether to buy a 350w or 500w controller because the power rating means nothing , one needs to think in terms of current/amps and not a label watt rating. Before upgrading one has to know the spec of the battery and it's continuous current/amps out put and not the...

    Hi

From this it appears the bike controller was a speed controller, these are very simple in operation and don't do anything for hub ebikes. Until one tries a torque controller/ current control like the Kuenteng models then most users have no idea how much smoother and relaxed the ride...

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

The axle shaft bearing cost about £6 - £10 for the TSDZ2 and takes all of 20 secs to fit with the cranks removed , it isn't rocket science to to do the job. Woosh for instance could add a note in the kit box to mention the simple modification to aid the lateral axle movement. For the more diy...

No not thinking of you Elinx as I have seen you as a prominant poster on ES so already know you know all the ins/outs of the TSDZ.

Help! Any experiences of the Bafang wheelbarrow motor?

One suspects as a pedelec forum , turbo wheelbarrow hubs motors don't come much in to the thinking.

Help! Gtech battery mk1 (round button) Can anyone tell me where the yellow wire goes?

Have a close look at the solder contacts with a mag glass hidden by the Red connector , look for tell tale signs of wire ends left behind or a solder footprint that matchesthat remaining on the end of the wire. Other wise the answer is no haven't a clue as the board itself is in the main...

I am looking for a partner to produce an add-on torque sensor for the BBS01

I gave up on the BBS after having two controllers go wrong and barely 3200 hard miles on the clock for the pair of them, that was after the fiasco that Tony had with GSMoon drives. My two drives were pretty useless and both failed in fairly quick time , In total only managing a paltry 320 odd...

I am looking for a partner to produce an add-on torque sensor for the BBS01

One only has to look at the Lingbei mid drive ( ex Bafang engineers) the motor barely got off the ground and it sank without much trace, though some time ago I thought I sa wit on Aliexpress . It wasn't easy to fiind.

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

I use neoprene 2mm penny washer and adhere it to the crank case ridge with rubber butyl adhesive. A lot of the guys/girls on here will know from my posts and pics what to do but a lot of the new users are lazy and don't use the forum search engine to find the info.

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

I have documented on the forum most of the mods to carry out, extra crank bearings, heat sensor placement, internal cooling and even filling the larger air chambers. There are tow main air chamber to think about filling one inside the main motor and one on the RHS behind the plastic cover...

Help! Newbie - What would you do in my situation?

Looking at the bike and I may be wrong , are they thru axles ? If you want to pedal with no power to extend range then the TSDZ has the higher(double) internal gear ratio then the Bafang.

    wisper strange battery issue!

One suspects balance is out, personally I would try using it and see if balance pans out a bit better ove rthe next 2 or 3 charge cycles. I think nowadays there is little merit in leaving on a 24hr charge as they should be montiored and tbh goes against most recommendations we make today...

    Revos bristol

I think we can lose count of how many FD's in the 10 years ahve come and gone. I only opted for the Revos as it only added 2.5kg to 10.3kg lightish gravel bike.

I have one of the original start up kits which works well, I also have two of the nice solid bottle batteries recently seen the same on TBK. When they need recelling , I'll look at using a 3500mah cell instead of the PF 2900mah cell. It is typical of friction drive kits, they come and go and...

One expects they may stll be operating as an engineering company but not in the EAPC market. One expects not only were the volumes not there but may be cost of raw materials and production.
