My wattmetter only shows the voltage

Thanks d8veh. You're a late Owl. Already 1:45 and still not sleeping? Are you also on strike? :) I'll try again tomorrow otherwise I'll never wake up tomorrow (and I'm not on strike lol)

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

I removed the screw from 1 side, but from the other side it seems that I can't remove it: There is no grip for my screwdriver. Or maybe there is nothing to remove?

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

I've seen in other pictures in endlessphere that they may remove the inside from the top side: Endless-sphere.com • View topic - Stinky Turnigy 80-100 -Nuvinci semi auto Now I'm not sure anymore from which side I should open it. I was thinking I may need to remove it from the top side?

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

Thanks guys. For now I'm just on the first step: unscrew the top part: I know there is loctite on it making it impossible to remove without heat. I tried to put my soldering iron on it during few minutes (at 450 C). Then let it cold and try to remove it again. But it really seem to be stuck...

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

Thanks Oigi for all these links. I'm going to buy the drill. I've found the size of the screws: 3.87 mm size. I suppose I would need 4mm drill bit? I've seen holes on the left and right: Not sure if it's of any use. And found un-used metal bar in my flat, maybe I can use...

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

A new motor would cost around £60 and I'll have to wait 3 weeks before it arrives from Hobbyking: TGY AerodriveXp SK Series 63-74 170Kv / 3250W But the part on the top of the motor (with the damaged screw) has been customized, so I'll have to move it to the new motor (I don't know how)...

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

Oigoi, I'm not sure I can remove the sprocket and shaft because the screw is quite damaged: When I turn my screwdriver on it, it just shape a larger gap on the metal. D8veh, I would need to buy a drill then. And also a piece of metal and some additional screws? It didn't take any whack, it...

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

No, it doesn't turn easily. Like a huge drag. Do you know if there is something I can do?

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

I completely removed the motor from the wheel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9Yw9ho4HFo It's definitely the motor that's making this sound. But there is no screw I can use around to completely check what is inside. Don't know what to do. Is it broken?

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

I just tried the motor this morning, it runned for a hundred of meters and suddently there was a huge drag on the wheel. Motor is still working but it seems that something is inside: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGgBa5SOOlM Can you hear the squeaky noise? And the huge drag to move the wheel...

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

You're right. Nothing is better than field testing. I'm going to try that tomorrow :) ps: And by the way, does it matter to have long servo cables? I suppose only long battery cables would diminush the max distance. I suppose longer cables to throttle or servo should not be a problem?

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

Thanks for the answer Wurly. My battery is a 17.5V 8AH. So a total capacity of 17.5*8 = 140 WH When I see 66 Watt on the bottom right, I should conclude that in 1 hour I'll have 140 - 66 = 74 WH remaining? So I can theorically use continuously my battery for 2 hours?

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

No smoke wurly, I resoldered everything and it's finally working!!! Thanks guys!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XquvPZaT58 Still not sure how to read that. So I use between 1.5 to 3 A? and between 33 and 66W? Is it good?

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

I think I've found what I did wrong.. I soldered the connector on the wrong side. The red are connected with the black... I'll have to cut all of this and solder new set of connectors... Do you know if I can recycle these connectors? I already soldered them and clipped them strongly...

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

Ok, I just did that. When I put the batterie to the "source" and controller to the "load" side, the wattmeter screen is blank and there is nothing displayed.

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

I don't know where I should look to find "source" or "load". There is nothing written on the controller.

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

But I already tried to reverse the pluggin polarity. When I do it the wattmetter doesn't start at all. I don't see where else I can plug the wattmeter.

My wattmetter only shows the voltage

Hello there, This is the first time I plugged my wattmeter into my e-scooter. And when I put the motor on, there is only the voltage that varies. Other indicators remain to 0: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGq35Tg1L9Y Is it normal? Shouldn't the Wh and Ah displayed instantly? Also, I've way...

    Ugly or Beautiful?

Ugly and look heavy. The frame is huge, if the battery was inside the frame that would have given a very nice design.
