Anyone know what the excact circumference setting is, for a 26'' wheel, on a bike computer, this one says 2045, but I suspect that it is not accurate.......Del.

Never really noticed E-bikes until I got mine, but this Thompson stood out, in fact it looked more like a moped than a bike, like the one's on flecc's link above, 7000 a year is pretty good going.......Del.

Just googled Thompson, they have been making E-Bikes since 2001, the one I saw must have had a hard life !!........Del.

While out shopping this morning, I saw the oldest E-bike that I have ever seen, [took a picture but did'nt work] it had the name Thompson on it, and had obviously seen better days, it got me thinking, when did E-Bikes first appear in this country ?.......Del.

Had a reply from Bob Jones, could'nt tell me exact year of manufacture, but is going to send me an owners manual in the post..........Del. ;) ;)

I was always a believer of the ''patch it up and keep it running'' way of thinking, but with E-bikes I'm not so sure, I think with certain components being so expensive, it would'nt make economical sense to do this, I'm only on my first E-bike, and hope to have it several years, and then replace...

Have tonight fired off an E-mail, to Powacycle support, regarding owners manual and year of manufacture, fingers crossed....................Del.

I bought a second-hand Powacycle Salisbury about a month ago, it had hardly been used from new, I have to say I think it is brilliant !! but then it is the first E-bike that I have owned, from reading on here,it is obvious that there are more powerful bikes out there, but this one suits me fine...

Think Frank has raised a good point,[see introduce yourself] how DO you know how old a battery is ? I bought my E-bike second hand, it has hardly been used, but I am unsure how old it is, I am assuming that the battery is the original, due to bike being little used, but there are no numbers on...

Think I'll go with Mike63 on this one, will be doing same route [more or less], every day, so trip meter would work fine, I see that Halfords have some fairly cheap ones.......Del. ;) ;)

Was going to take it apart flecc, but on reflection best left alone, as Muckymits says, you can always turn the power off, using the key.......Del.

Here is the switch in question, could it be faulty ? .......Del.

On the Powacycle Salisbury, there is a mode switch on the left of the handlebars, presumably this is a three way switch, off, pedal assist and throttle, on mine the off position does not appear to work, e.g. it is always in pedal assist mode, anyone know how to fix this ?.......Del.

Trying to establish how old my Powacycle Salisbury actually is, there is a number stamped on the frame, at the front, just above front forks , it is as follows, LCGF000081, does that mean anything to anyone ?..........Del.
