    Mudgaurd Flaps

Personally, I'd go with the SKS flap linked to by Jonah. I use that mud flap and it works very well and fits neatly onto the mudguard. Your bike looks nice, and bits of old Wellington boot attached to it may spoil the appearance. It's worth £3.99 to keep it looking presentable.

    Virtual Private Networks VPNs

Does anyone have experience of using VPNs? I want to be able to access iPlayer and other UK TV streaming services whilst abroad. Any recommendations / experiences or tips would be most welcome. I anticipate that I will be accessing it via a broadband WiFi connection. Something that allows an...

That's a good result and I am pleased that it goes against my initial perception of these schemes.

    Cycle schemes

I think that the bottom line here is that Cyclescheme saves a basic rate tax payer in the region of 30% on the purchase of a new bike. A higher rate tax payer will save more. My employer, for whatever reason, does not want to administer the scheme themself, so they use one of the, "Parasites,"...

    Grrrr

It is both sobering and ironic that this newly born child could well be alive to witness the complete breakdown of society and the extinction of humans. Both due to overpopulation.

    Cycle schemes

After a bit more research, it would appear that Cyclescheme still has its benefits. Because HMRC are very diligent and have to upmost integrity, they don't wont to see the likes of Starbucks, Google, Amazon and private bicycle owners evading tax. They have started with private bicycle owners...

    Tyre Sizes

I have finally navigated my way through the tyre and wheel rim sizing system and I have to say that it is a complete chaotic mess. The situation seems to have evolved over the years with different countries adopting their own methods of describing the size. For anyone else looking to change the...

    Grrrr

It is and I am sorry. Anyway, it looks like we were all wrong about the name. The new baby will be known as, Prince Damien Satanus Vader Sauron Thatcher Joffrey Charles Manson Savile Dalek Windsor.

    Grrrr

Yes, let's hope so. That would be awful and could raise speculation that James Hewitt has been, "busying" himself again. New Royal baby is Prince Harry's half brother, now there is a headline.

Reece, Tyler, Storm or Cosworth are my tips for the baby's name. After all the mother is a descendant from common stock.

What's all the fuss about, it's only a baby and we've got too many as it is. This just adds to the problem. Now if she'd done something useful like perfect cold fusion, I might be interested.

    Tyre Sizes

I've seen the City Jet tyres and like the look of them, but I don't know if they will fit onto my MTB rims which currently carry a 2.25 width tyre. I think the largest City Jet will be too small. My wheel rims are RFR ZX24 whatever that means and it's a 29er so most of slick tyres aimed at MTBs...

    Tyre Sizes

I am wanting a set of tyres for road use with a mountain bike. The bike currently has Schwalbe Rapid Rob MTB tyres fitted, size 29x2.25, which will be great for off road use, but I will want to use the bike on roads for longish periods as well. I have Schwalbe Big Apples in mind for road use...

    Cycle schemes

That sounds like you have a good deal you have and I'd be happy with it. I'm not going to say which Loughborough based dealer it was that loaded the price of my Kalkhoff Pro-Connect with an extra 10% to cover the Cycle Scheme costs. Suffice to say that it looks like they had my trousers down.

    Cycle schemes

I bought a bike through work via Cycle Scheme 5 years ago and had to pay 10% above list price to cover the dealer's Cycle Scheme charge. He said that there wasn't enough profit margin in the bike otherwise. I still saved quite a bit doing it that way. From what Hatti, says, it looks like Cycle...

    Cycle schemes

Thank you for the responses, particularly the link to the calculator. On paper, the scheme still looks attractive. I have done a bit more research and have spoken to people who have used the scheme and they tell me that success or failure to make a saving hinges on the buy-back price of the...
