that case holds only about 48V 10AH in LiFePO4 top. I don't think they sent the right battery.

    warranties

I disagree with you there Jon. This is a misunderstanding of the law. The statutory rights protect the customers from hidden manufacturing problems, that they can't see during normal use, until the thing breaks. It does not protect the customers against wear and tear. Take a halogen light bulb...

max safe limit when overvolting/amping a 48v 1000w brushless gearless hub?

jimmy, you use the bike at pretty much what the motor is meant to do. The only drawback with your present kit is the weight of the SLAs. I think you pull on average close to 18A-20A when riding at 25-30mph. Your motor is very efficient at that sort of speed. Adding another 12V SLA may kill the...

    Sondors bike crowdfunding on indiegogo

I always take a pinch of salt with the word 'thousands' - the UK market is very small, if you tot up the likely market share of the 12 or so advertisers on here, it's more than half that number already and don't forget ebay, amazon and tesco. Col's KTM alone accounts for nearly 2,000 e-bikes a year.

    Invention versus discovery.

I watched Dragons' Den last night on BBC2. Two guys who invented a new watering can asked for £150k for 15% of their company/invention. It turns out that the only thing new worth getting a patent for is the unused handle at the bottom of the can/bag. Apparently, their handle is a better handle...

Confused about the range of a folding bike...

it's more of a question of comfort. The 20" folders tend to have a wheelbase of around 120cm, against 150cm+ for full size adult bikes. The longer wheelbase, larger wheels and tyres, bigger suspension fork, all contribute to stability and comfort. There are also differences in components: longer...

    Sondors bike crowdfunding on indiegogo

the bike will be shipped from China as a perk, you have to pay freight, clearance, import duty and VAT yourself. Because it's a gift, not a sale, you are not protected by any law, you can't complain if you think it's not what you've been promised. You can't take anyone to Court, not even a...

    warranties

that's correct. As jonathan75 has pointed out, you have right to have the problem sorted out free of charge many years after the guarantee has run out. There is a limitation to this though, the fault must be a manufacturing fault, like in car safety recalls.

check also the brake levers, one of the brake sensors may get stuck in the active state inn the fall. The brake sensor plugs into the main signal cable in the front of the bike, you can unplug it to test this.

2nd Hand Electric bike under £400?

the motor cable has a socket and plug about 10 inches from the motor to allow quick disconnection when you want to remove the motor wheel. It is possble that the cable got pulled apart a bit during the fall. Just push the two ends back together. Post a picture of the cable - we can check it...

    fatbike motor from Bafang

thanks for the info, especially for the SFM repair manual. Very informative. is it right that the SFM motor has an inrunner iron core? I've read somewhere that it runs at 4,500 RPM. Must be more efficient than the 8-Fun BBSes.

does the LED panel turn still on? if it does, then you may have blown the FETs, get a new controller. If not, then you may have blown the battery fuse.
