Another very good thread worth a read, just 14 pages of good night time reading. Common pack design mistakes, how to avoid? - Endless Sphere (endless-sphere.com) In particular the current share between cells and the two off takes of +/- are of consideration.

    TSDZ2 Is mine unflashable

Yes quite simple check the voltage on the speed sesnor cable so battery power is needed. See #11 in the thread below, My Cargo bike build. | Pedelecs - Electric Bike Community Probe Gnd & Swim , if you see 5v then it is programmable and an old firmware. If you see 0v then it is new firmware.

Basis Beacon E-MTB Electric Mountain Bike, 27.5" Wheel, LCD Display - Black/Red

led and lcd type aren't generically transferable nor are generic lcd's. Generally one has to buy a controller and lcd as a compatiable pair, this isn't so with kuenteng controllers they will work with approx. 12 differing lcd displays from the manufacturer.

Cyclotricity 36v 250w front hub information?

No reason why one can't do so, for a cargo bike one supects speed may not be a primary factor so motor speed in 20" rim will be slower though torque should be good. How fast the wheel runs depends on its rated rpm. As an example a 260rpm wound hub will have a road speed of approx. 19/20mph in...

Help! Can I ride e-bikes in heavy rain?

For a waterproof sw those silicon type surrounds don't actually waterproof the switch as the rocker it self isn't wp and moisture can ingress around the edges of the rocker it self. One needs a fuuly inclosed rocker or a type which is just a silcone press button. Secondly not all cases are wp...

Experiences with Open Source Firmware on the Tongsheng TSDZ2

Unless one is manually checking cells groups voltages or using a balance charger then it is strongly advised to use batteries with BMS. Not all BMS have a switch (sw) option but those that do will have an external sw on the battery case. All the time the sw is on the BMS remains live and will...

With your diy homebuilt spot welder have you tested the weld to see how far the spot penetration is or if bluing burn marks appear on the opposite side/face of the object. The Boss spot welder thread explains more about testing for burn thru and weld strength , typically craft knife snap blades...

Turn the battery sw off , it will be a BMS sw so may still draw power and drain the batt over a longer period.

    I've been researching batteries recently

Whether a bot or spam post, UPP batteries are badly put together with some poor insulation and basic construction details. I wouldn't advise buying one.

Experiences with Open Source Firmware on the Tongsheng TSDZ2

The extra bearing each side is to support the axle against lateral movement and to ward off the axle snapping beyond the circlip groove. Each bearing is placed on the outer position of the circlip to give the extra support. #425, #433 & #436details in below thread. My Cargo bike build. |...

Experiences with Open Source Firmware on the Tongsheng TSDZ2

The voltages afaik are not transferable so a 48v battery is likely to smoke a 36v controller, one can fit a 48v controller as they are one and the same in fitting and one will then have more then the 96rpm max pedal/cadence roatation. Tbh I think if one is buying one then simply opt for the...

Experiences with Open Source Firmware on the Tongsheng TSDZ2

Tbh I don't think there is a need for saving stock firmware settings , just plug away and make numerous firmware changes till you are happy with the ride input and feel. For me I'm using hybrid mode for my trailer towing, quite good low torque and acceleration from standstill at a low cadence...

    Up coming budget 17th November.

VED is easy to implement as the mileage as all electronically recorded as Flecc mentions , all they have to do is send a bill each year as they do currently for VED. £10 per 100 miles driven should do it. Somehow we need to make car ownership costly to reduce the street parking mayhem ruining...

My 16 yr old astra estate will be kept going till it's no longer affordable in diesel prices. After that I quite like the idea of the quadricycle route for my local needs to drive for when a cycle isn't suitable. I like the quirky looking Ami maybe I coud adapt one with a CF tow hitch ?

    Up coming budget 17th November.

As expected and with fewer ICE vehicle sales, the RFL for EV's which are becoming ever more used will need applying to fill a bit of the financial black hole the gov't has. I can't see the std RFl duty of £165 being applied but wouldn't surpise me to see a £75 rate or a scaled rate of £25 -...

    Livall's venture, their Pikaboost ?

My first tyre got chewed up with 500 miles, it was a wtb riddler a slightly knobbly tyre. I found the answer was to use a knobbly tyre with a smooth raised centre section and the specialiased 2bliss pathfinder pro has been great, tyre wear is minimal and the raised centre section is still good...
