Lishui Bluetooth Controller, programming the easy way

I don't know, that's the short answer. Mechaniker should know, he worked on the device.

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

Tongsheng (tsbicycle.net) is much more low key, it's pretty much Aikema now. Even the same TS rep changes their tone, becoming more 'corporate' and their messages contain Aikema this, Aikema that. In the past, my rep was easier going, I did not get charged for most of the spares except for...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Notable in the headlines is the cyber attack on the Electoral Commission. Government's cybersecurity is a joke, the apologies from the Electoral Commisioner is just not serious enough. It's OK because there is no risk to the results of future elections. I wonder what Nigel Farage and about 28...

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

Tongsheng has TSDZ3 but what happens to TSDZ4, 5, 6? were they in the pipeline when the designer left for toseven? I suppose TSDZ8 is the one after seven. They all have short lives by the look of it. My guess is the TSDZ2B Turbo (it's the name that Aikema/Tongsheng use now) is about the same as...

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

I find that he is over-enthusiastic about everything he tries. Still, this forum is in the main pro road legal bikes and kits, his interest is outside the road legal sphere.

    Battery only charging partially

His commute is modest, he does not need a big battery. Even a tool battery may work for him. If it were me, I would hook up a 10ah or 15ah saddle bag battery and sort out his problem in 5 minutes. A bag battery would usually fit inside behind seat post battery cases.

    Battery only charging partially

Don't use the 48v battery on a 36v kit, it will cause even more trouble than your present problem. You only need a modest but new 36v battery.

    Battery only charging partially

Unplug the charger, use the battery for an hour or until it stops working then take it to the recycling station. As it is faulty, don't charge it again.

    Supplementary Battery Question

I can't agree more. However, this thread appeals to the tinkerers among us. Although I would not advocate for paralleling batteries, I am still curious to understand the risks involved. This is a reference BMS for up to 16 cells in series, it's kind of typical for modern BMSes: QUOTE: This...

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

I can always ask Tongsheng to make me a 250W version. They have EN15194 certicicate for their TSDZ2B-TURBO. They fixed the gearbox in revision B, I suppose they have fixed the issue of overheating in the TURBO version.

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

not much other that it weighs 4.8kgs and the torque exceeds 100NM. It looks strangely similar to the DM-01. I don't know if it has the same mold. In any case, I don't know the real story behind their engineer leaving to work for toseven.

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

it's a new product so there is little information about that, except that the rep at Aikema assured me that their firmware isn't buggy. I'll get some stock in by end of September/beginning of October. Would anyone volunteer to strip the TSDZ2B Turbo motor down and make a YT video?

BTW, Aikema/Tongsheng are selling their TSDZ2B TURBO.

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

that review is shallow on technical details. The toseven's DM-02 looks like a TSDZ2B. Note how the guy compares the DM-02 against the TSDZ2 and not the 'B' and how he caveated that he does not know the techical details of what he commented on etc.

    Supplementary Battery Question

when you connect two batteries, you are in effect charging one with the other through the charging port too. We discussed this subject some years back, didn't we? I find it is difficult to discuss without a reference schematics.

    Battery only charging partially

You found the fault and it is a shorted block. Take it to the recycling centre.

    Battery only charging partially

Repair is not worth the risk. You would have mismatched cells in your battery.

    Battery only charging partially

the white connector at the top of the BMS has 11 balance wires. They are connected to the cell blocks. One end is ground or Bat-, the other is the Bat +. The voltage at the wire next to the Bat- should be about 3.6V, the next wire 7.2V etc until the 11th wire 36V. Let us know what you find.

    Supplementary Battery Question

If you charge battery 1 while the battery 2 is still connected by the link at the output, both will surely be charged at the same time and the only thing that is missing is the balancing phase on battery 2? If you charge next time the other battery then the balancing would be done alternately, no?

sorry I was caught up in the shop serving a customer. Your suggestion is good. There has always been a link to the product web page, a link named 'view full details'. I have now replaced them with a more readable wording: LINK I will replace it with a royalty free icon tomorrow.
