    BBS02 48v 750w, PAS and throttle sensitivity?

traction, smooth, progressive power delivery and very low noise are the strong points of the BBSxx kits. The only negative on those kits is the gear change. You need to think ahead which gear is best so to keep gear change to a minimum. A more powerful motor (500W or750W) lets you keep a...

    alien ocean aurora help 2

it seems to me that your battery is on the way out and there is not much you can do to fix it. Only gurus like d8veh could fix these things.

Also looking to commute in London - different parameters

Peter makes a very valid point about support for his controller box and his recommendation of test bouncing the battery end of the bike a few times is a good one. I would also add waggling the bike to the test. A good bike must feel mechanically sound.

    Opinions on this bike please

I wouldn't go for Magura rim brakes. They are not as controllable as rotor based hydraulic brakes, lock the rim easily, can suffer from bad truing, oil, water, rim wear and are just too pricey for what they are if you compare their prices against hydraulic brakes from Shimano and Clarke.

    Brake Disc Sizes

most of the braking is done on the front brake. Your brakes should be progressive and well controllable. Hydraulic brakes are best at these two qualities.

    Oxydrive kits

BPM and BPM/CST and their clones are fundamentally 350W continuous motors, the performance depends very much on the controller's rating and programming and the abiliity of the battery to support it. The marking is varied to customers' request. Typically, these motors are marked 250W for ready...

Hidden wire brake sensor on Bafang BBS

the hidden wire sensor is reliable. The problem is braking power. Think about it. The normal V-brakes stop a bike powered by 100W human + 250W motor, the mechanical disc brakes on 160mm rotor have better braking power, up to about 100W human + 350W motor, but they have single piston. The...

Electric Bike for Long Distance Cycle Touring

if you intend to ride between 80 to 100 miles a day then two batteries that can cover 40-50 miles each would do the job without needing to recharge. I found that the average power consumption is between 8-10WH per mile, then the point is to have the highest density cells in your battery to...

    Stuttering Woosh BB

If the motor runs smoothly on the throttle then check the pedelec sensor. Turn the bike upside down, rotate the crank and see if the pedelec disc is loosened or clogged with mud and becomes stuck to the frame.

    Opinions on this bike please

very good bike for the price but fitted with low end components. You'd need hydraulic brakes to go with BBS02.

Bafang BBSxx left sided thumb throttle

you can flip the thumb throttle. Most people fit the thumb throttle to the left to avoid clluttering the rear gear shifter.

    Lack of chain wear

Yes, it seems that hub gears reduce chain wear to the point of eliminating chain wear altogether. Shame that they add a bit of weight.

    Hi From Netherton

That may be generally true but I have ridden both the Brompton the Gallego, not kerb hopping, but they don't feel like toys. Both have chunky frames. The Gallego is a more comfortable bike to ride.

    Wuxing brake cut-off levers compatibility?

yes, as long as your brakes are cable operated. The problem is usually pinout, plugs and sockets.

    Hi From Netherton

the compromise is usually a 20" e-folder for mixed use. Most 20" wheel e-folders I have seen have: 1. small frame size 2. weedy motor 3.small capacity battery the woosh zephyr is not too bad on 1), the zephyr-CDN on 1) and 2), the zephyr-B is good on all these 3 points but I totally agree with...
