Is it Legal to Ride a UK Throttle Equipped Pedelec in Europe?

The throttle is only tolerated in the UK. You should unplug/switch off the throttle while riding in Europe so you won't be tempted to use it. All the Chinese bikes will let you pedal as much or as little as you like, so it should not be a big effort.

    bafang crank drive kits

to ride muds, I reckon you'd need both 500W CD + rear BPM. d8veh may have made one like that before.

    Caraok electric one wheel bicycle

I met a young guy about 35 in the park last summer - he was doing pirouettes with it. You can get to be quite good on it doing left and right turns after half an hour practice but it gets very scary when you want to stop. I just headed straight to the railings.

    Caraok electric one wheel bicycle

The error is of the OP. XYIL sell it as an electric unicycle. https://www.facebook.com/zyinternationalimited I still think it's an expensive toy. It does work though. It took me about 15 minutes to learn to ride it, a bit like snowboarding but much easier to learn. You can easily fall off it...

    bafang crank drive kits

watch out for the new kit from XMAX with built in torque sensor instead of PAS. Cheaper than Bafang BBSxx. The torque sensor also helps to eliminate the gear change noise. They claim it can climb 25% gradient. Does look very well built and comes with BCD so can use standard rings.

    Repair BBS02 Bottom bracket

try to refit the kit. It could be just a small fault, not obvious until you've found it. The way the motor is hanged could lead it to move slightly and may knock against the downtube with each revolution when you push hard on the pedals. The motor is not totally waterproofed. Put penty of grease...

    Daily commute

the 15AH battery has two biig advantages: a) hiigher continuous current to support long climbs at high speed. The 10AH peaks at 20A, the 15AH peaks at 30A. and b) fewer charging cycles. Your battery lasts for 500-700 cycles, a bigger battery will do more miles per cycle, therefore more miies...

    Daily commute

It'll take about half an hour to swap out the rear wheel on the Big Bear for one with Nexus-7 or gearbox with Shimano roller brakes. If you fancy a bit of speed, the Woosh Krieger is nippier for the same money.

    Gearing 20" wheel bike Bafang BBS02 750w

it's the label that matters. If the label says 250W then it's legal. What you do with the electronics is up to you.

    Back to batteries..

if more traditional LBSes take on e-bikes or do conversions, the market can expand. I reckon most vendors on this forum would gladly collaborate and reduce their reliance on online sales.

    Back to batteries..

whichever way you look at the level of protection afforded to the customers by online payment providers, you get an extra money back guarantee that you don't get with face to face purchase. This huge USP is responsible for growth of the online marketshare. Just look at the vendors on this...

    Gearing 20" wheel bike Bafang BBS02 750w

it depends on what you want. The 48V has higher maximum crank speed, about 110 RPM, the 36V version has bigger torque but lower RPM, about 86 RPM. There is little price difference between all the BBSes. Woosh sell the 250W for £330, 350W for £349, 500W for £365. The 48V are more expensive, my...

    Gearing 20" wheel bike Bafang BBS02 750w

    woosh do BBSxx in 15A 250W, 18A 350W and 25A 500W in 36V, Eclipse do all 36V and 48V versions. I reckon 25A 500W 36V or 18A 500W 48V would be plenty. http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?cdkit http://eclipsebikes.com/bafang-8fun-bbs02-drive-750w-motor-p-1100.html

Folding Pedelec for my wife, 60, 5ft8in, relatively fit but arthritic with 2 new hips.

jon, the zephyr-CDN has full power throttle. @chris74: You (up to 80kgs) can ride up 10% hills on throttle alone, without pedalling. I would recommend the zephyr CDN to your wife because it has Nexus hub gear, the shifter is a bit like the revoshift, would suit arthritic hands.

New folder for me, unfit, 60, heavy, 6ft3in.

@chris74. The zephyr-B will suit your height and weight. you've be hard pushed to find an e-folder with a big fat BPM motor, sensored hydraulic brakes and remote lock fork like the Zephyr-B. Not for under £1,000 anyway. A lot of bike for the price.

    Back to batteries..

'no quibble' money back is important in big purchases like e-bikes. Suppose you find out a few days after buying your bike that your plan to commute does not work out or the frame is too big or the riding position too uncomfortable? You don't get that with buying face to face but you do in most...
