Pity he didn't ride his bike there, he could have left it with her.

Another throttle question to ask ????????

Yes, twist grip throttle with the traffic light battery indicator. I wasn't aware of the make of the motor, I just asked Nano to convert the bike. The motor is doing the job, runs almost silently. All I've had to do is tighten the circle of screws on the casing, a bit of oil spun out which I...

Another throttle question to ask ????????

My Brompton Nano is throttle only. I was told I could have a pedelec control as well, but decided against it on the grounds of avoiding clutter on the bars. Not sure now if it was the right decision. I do sometimes get fed up of holding the throttle open, and it's on the right which makes...

    Tow Path Trip

Two pictures in one ride is bad luck, Gazza. "Fit Marathon Pluses" is the usual answer, but I think the problem with hedge clippings is a thorn on a bit of stalk will leap up and attack the sidewall, which tends to do for any tyre.

Another big Aussie guy looking for an ebike

...as you will be aware there are very few bikes that are capable of carrying 150Kg.... Steady on, let's not panic the guy. Any ordinary bike of reasonable quality can carry that weight. Pug knows this from his Giant. Any ebike problems are likely to come not from the frame, but from the...

Haibike's arrive! e-bikeshop.co.uk first in the country! Pic attached..

Just a little joke for Constable d8veh of the Apostrophe Police. To answer your question, no throttle on Haibikes I imagine because they use the Bosch crank drive which doesn't have them.

What is it belonging to throttle do you think the bikes have?

£2,000 toy fund - but what to spend it on ?

Strange to relate, I was there to look at one this very day. It was the only 2013 they had, was already sold, and the customer arrived to pick it up while I was there. Decent bike for £1,500, but we are talking fairly basic components so I don't think it will suit MS666.

Atmosphere Electric Bike Festival - June 23 2013

I had grasped that, but your mention of Wiggo gave me the idea of inviting him. We know he still rides - and crashes - on the road, and he commented on the helmet debate, so he has a genuine interest in us ordinary cyclists.

Atmosphere Electric Bike Festival - June 23 2013

Were I exhibiting, I would invite Wiggins to come along for a promotional visit. He's a down-to-earth guy who seems to make his own decisions, so just might go for it. Worst he can do is say no.

    Help from the East.....

Sounds like we are well on the way to being sorted. About 20 miles is far enough on the Brompton, although riding in a group is always easier so the distance shouldn't be a problem for any of us.

Hatti, Seems Pug is a big lad in a big country, according to his thread here: http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/introduce-yourself/13760-another-big-aussie-guy-looking-ebike.html#post169653

Another big Aussie guy looking for an ebike

Pug, I suggest you aim towards a crank drive bike, or a front wheel drive one. Your weight, the weight of the motor, the twisting of the motor against the spokes, and the weight of any luggage might all be too much for the rear wheel. A bike with the motor in the front wheel would spread the...

    How unlucky am I?

Low tyre pressure is a possibility. Well done for keeping up the cycling on the trainer - us ebike riders are supposed to be lazy sods who can't be bothered to pedal.

20mph speed limit -applies to bikes ?

Knife carrying criminals know this. Part of my day job involves the court. I've heard this excuse from defendants several times: "The knife was in my pocket because I'd been helping someone lay a carpet earlier."

Weekend best for me, and as you said probably the most doable for the greatest number of the others. So that looks like either April 20 or 21.
