Woosh Scirocco 2 - independent review

The test was carried out in near-freezing conditions and I used the throttle when I felt like it. Hard to say how much power was left, but in more favourable conditions I would be confident of getting 60+ miles.

What do you think of these

There have been a few 'sellers' on ebay recently who have are in China, have only just registered and have zero feedback. All appear to be scams, as does this one. Of course, this might be the one genuine offer, but I wouldn't touch it at any price.

    Spencer Ivy

The Spencer Ivy is similar spec and price to the Kalkhoff Agattu C8 Impulse. Main difference seems to be Impulse drive rather than Panasonic. I doubt most users would notice much difference. The Kalkhoff has a bigger battery which would swing it for me. 2012 Kalkhoff Agattu C8 Impulse HS...

Woosh Scirocco 2 - independent review

Here's my review of the Woosh Scirocco 2, the company has had no other input other than supplying the bike. MANY buyers will be drawn to the Scirocco 2 due to its long list of equipment and relatively cheap price. But is this a bike which looks good on screen, but performs poorly on the...

    Chinese crank drives,throttles and gears.

In his OP, Dave from Kudos wrote: "...the cheap Shimano Tourney gears, these were rapidly destroyed by the motor..." That looks like a problem to me.

    Chinese crank drives,throttles and gears.

The Kalkhoff crank drive s-pedelecs with the Bosch 350W unit have higher-end Shimano deraileurs. I've not seen a high performance crank drive bike with Shimano hub gears, although some use the NuVinci hub which suggests it's stronger.

Please help required, electric bike total breakdown

I can't help, but those that can will want to know the make and model of the bike, and the make of the motor if it's stamped on it somewhere.

Very impressed by the knowledge and helpfulness on this forum. Can I take advantage?

Does it have a button to bypass the speed restriction?

Which MTB for under £800 please, recommendations/advice appreciated.

The shiny new crank drive is an attraction, but the existing Scirocco Sport is cheaper and fits the OP's spec. The Sirocco-Sport | Electric Bikes from Woosh | electric bike sales & hire Review by one of the forum Daves here...

Very impressed by the knowledge and helpfulness on this forum. Can I take advantage?

Top speed appears important to you, so try one of these: Alpine Sport | UK Electric Bikes | LifeCyle Electric Bikes It has a naughty button and really flies when you use it. The linked one is a step-through which might suit your hip, but you can also get mountain and city styles with the same...

    New Woosh Crank-drive Bike

Wasn't there some bloke who used to post on here who was after a crank drive bike with a throttle? Oh I nearly forgot, it will be no good because he reckons all Chinese bikes are rubbish.

Brompton folding pedal bearing - can I clean it?

You can't do a lot more. I have a Brommie and they are good, sturdy bikes, but some of the finishing kit is not the best quality. Spares, as you have discovered, are the same as the bike in one respect - expensive.

Brompton folding pedal bearing - can I clean it?

WD40 contains solvent and is not a very good lubricant. Now the bearing is spinning freely it's worth lightly lubing it with a thin oil.

    Ummmm....banned ??

Forum owners - and contributors - are publishers, but few have any legal training in publishing. Concepts such as fair dealing and the right of reply are not widely understood. Also, there is no doubt that criticising goods and services has become more dangerous in recent years - some of the...

    Ummmm....banned ??

I've seen a few longstanding members of other forums who got to think their feet were well under the table. Management then issues a reminder about who is boss, which usually amounts to a swift beheading, or in this case, two swift beheadings. I've not been around here long enough to know all...

    Ummmm....banned ??

Wissy, Funkylyn (above) is spot on. You've had a good say on this topic, so maybe it's time to sit back and relax. And don't go calling the admin Muppets - Kermit might sue you for defamation.

    The great british e-bike scam

We remain a trophy country for lots of reasons, few of which are rational. Just as The Times is a trophy for a publisher, it doesn't make any money - loses it most likely - but is desirable for anyone rich enough to be able to afford such things. London remains the centre of the world, you can...
