    Great Customer Service From Woosh

he's got the Big Bear LS and sent back the Santana CD a couple of weeks ago. The issue that dmsims is talking about, if I understand correctly, is that Woosh are liable for the performance of their contractors. Explaining what happened does not replace an apology. I thought PF have apologized to...

    Increasing my top speed

if you want speed, get an 18A crank drive, 11T rear cog or Nexus hub gear

    Woosh CD Sport Disc Brakes

the BB5 is much better than the Zoom, repplacing the Zoom with the BB5 is very straightforward, it's a 10 minute job. But hydraulic brakes are miles better and not very difficult to fit, extra 10 minutes or so. You push the rubber grip off the handlebar with two thumbs (this is the most...

Chinese Whispers or the thoughts of Chairman Ching

China are well known for manipulating their currency to boost export. I don't think bike prices are going to go up. Most the the manufacturing process will benefit from automation, therefore making Chinese goods cheaper, not more expensive, and drives quality up because machines are more...

    Bike recomendations

Woosh have rear 26" 350W BPM motor with 20A Lishui controller, LCD, thumb throttle, torque arm and 15AH bottle battery for £500. That's about as near to direct import as you're going to get. It's not CST though, you still need a DNP freewheel if you have more than 7-speed. The front BPM kit of...

    Bike recomendations

the hub kit + battery weighs about 7.5kgs to 8kgs. You need to order brake sensors for hydraulic brakes if you buy a hub kit or go for an 18A BBS01 kit that does not need them.

    Woosh - more dreadful service

flecc, you have been watching the industry grow a long time, do you think we are heading for product convergence? Do you see the Shimano Step and the Yamaha crank drive as a sign that consensus moves to crank drive systems? and 400WH batteries becoming industry standard?

    Kalkhoff Sahel Premium i360 Harmony

I too would like to keep my cycling legs as long as possible. I found all the Woosh bikes too willing, except for the TS. The new 18A BBS01 seems to be just the right solution, the PAS demands that you push on the pedal, not just rotate it. I can cycle happily at 19mph on the flat against light...

    Kalkhoff Sahel Premium i360 Harmony

I would recommend a conversion with the 18A BBS01. This is a sizeable step up from the Woosh CD. PAS and throttle, more power, similar to the Big Bear, same range 15AH battery. On top of that, you can choose a good mechanical bike with hydraulic brakes.

    Lowering amps

I don't think you waste energy because the controller is capable of 30A instead of 20 or 15. It's the speed you ride at.

50 Mile round trip commute, feasible or not?

it's a question of how much Julie wants to cycle and how fast she wants to go. The test bike ran at 26mph - so it's plenty fast, but I don't know the power consumption at that speed. I don't know if Woosh are going to use this motor, probably not, too powerful I think. Shame, the 8Fun is so...

50 Mile round trip commute, feasible or not?

If I were in your place, I'd get my push bike fitted with an 18A 350W BBS01 (£349) and 15AH square bottle battery (£315). It's fast, climbs anything like a goat and keep the same balance like you have with the old bike and it's cheap too. If you can remove the bottom bracket, then you can fit...

    Woosh CD Sport Disc Brakes

you can replace the Zoom caliper with a tektro Novela caliper from Woosh for about £15, a bit better than Zoom, or go hydraulic http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2014-AVID-DB-1-DB1-MTB-Hydraulic-Brake-Set-Front-and-Rear-Black-/191176390575 Put only one in, you need to keep the other one for the brake...

    Easybike easycity 36v 10amp

check the spokes on the bike to see if you have a magnet attached to one of them. If you do, then you need to keep the magnet facing the sensor or post a picture here, we'll help you find the fault. Another trick is to remove the battery in the LCD, wait two minutes then re-install the battery...

    XiongDa Two-Speed Motor

chantelauze, all motors need greasing, Bafang, Bosch etc included. The xiongda XD shell is one of the easiest to open, and filling the gearbox with grease seems to be a good idea that perhaps Xiongda should be doing in the future.

    GT Karakorum 29er conversion

I'd fit 18A BBS01 and 10.5AH bottle battery. http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?cdkit You'd lose the front derailleur but gain in simplicity and weight balance. I would also leave the hydraulic brakes alone and not bother with fitting the brake sensors.
