it depends on the cells and BMS - it's usually 2C with Samsung SDI, 20A. With Chinese cells, I don't know. You'd be limited by the same battery, I'd expect same performance, 30mph but you should have much better torque at lower climbing speed.

I would have linked d8veh to Oxygen. The specs of the Oxygen electrics are so high that only someone with top e-bike expertise could have come up with.

    Thinking of getting bike

you have made a good point here. German bikes tend to be fitted with far better mechanical components (tyres, rims, pedals, cranks, chain, chainring, brakes) than Chinese bikes. Out of an £800 woosh bike, you pay £550 for the electrics, £250 for the mechanical bike. The mechanical bike is...

the norm seems that warranty does not cover wear and tear. The bottom bracket spindle is not faulty, the motor casing is not faulty, the ball bearings are worn due to mileage. sample T&Cs, extract from: http://www.shop.flidistribution.co.uk/k/policies#9 2. The warranties do not apply to any...

    Thinking of getting bike

Manufacturers have to replace free of charge any defective components as a result of manufacturing defects - that's the law. There is a difference when a component becomes defective. Broken spokes, pedals falling off or creaking. The question then arises: is it a manufacturing defect or not? if...

    Cycling in London (again)....

you still lose a fair amount converting between the original energy (natural gaz or other source) to electricity at the point of use, whichever techology you use. Ammonia (as an intermediary in the life cycle) can potentially be an economical solution for buses compared to for example Lithium...

    Cycling in London (again)....

ammonia as in fuel cells could be pretty effective in producing large quantity of electricity for buses. Clean, low running cost, longevity etc. Not for e-bikes yet though.

Should EBikes be allowed on MTB trails?
