The cable is the same for all m otors, but some motors don't have a speed sensor in them. Did you have a working LCD before? If you don't have a speed sensor, you can set P2 to 0. In that case, the controller will take a speed signal from its pulse timing, but your speed will always go to zero...

Which speed sensor are you using? What did you connect it to? Did you set you set P2 to 1?

Why didn't you charge up your battery? Did the LCD stay on, flash or what? Is it a 48v LCD?

The clutch is sticking. You might see why when you open the motor. Clutches are cheap and easy to replace once you can see which type you need.

Unplug the white bridge. If that doesn't do it, try disconnecting that pair of purple wires.

It uses a speed sensor in the hub to measure wheel RPM. Maybe you have the LCD set to 24" wheel instead of 26". If it is set 26", then set it to 28".

It's not silver wire. It's silver coloured tin plated copper. The tin is just to stop it corroding.
