TSDZ2 crank motor or hub motor, how much drag?

Tsdz2 ride very well unpowered in the correct gear, I have used mine on flatish and slight inclines without issues and that is towing a trailer as well. It compares much the same as my G370 front hub unpowered and both are so much better to ride unassisted then the BBS01 to which I found to...

    Stuck seat post

Expanding the metal a little by heat should do the trick, one can always also try a bit of penetraing fluid. No naked flames though. Once the seat tube is hot , tap the nose of the saddle from both side with a rubber mallet or wooden mallet to see if it will help brake the seal.

Grant Shapps wants a speed limit for cyclists

I have seen an article by a by a mass producer of cycle helmets and in it they state that cycle helmets are not designed to protect a cyclist in car collisions at speed or from serious injuries, at least they are just protection from a slight bash on the ground should one topple off.

    Dual Battery Setup Help/ Ideas

I think that is what that black box does, it doesn't use the batteries in unison. It simply connects both batteries then there is a switch inside, once the electronic detect battery A's voltage is low it switches to B. One is best using the XT parallel leads and dealing with battery voltages as...

    Hub Motor (Unknown)

Motors are not sine or square but relate to the controller type, the latter being noisier. Motors are desribed as sensored 8/9 wires ot unsensored 3 or 6 wires. One can run both motor types on either controller, generally if motor is sensored then it makes sense to run it sine.

    Dual Battery Setup Help/ Ideas

One has to be meticulous with how they treat such parallel systems. Both batteries have to be charged separately as they have individual BMS, on can not charge them in parallel like RC lipos. Trying to charge In parallel with battery BMS will simply result in the first battery to reach a full...

Grant Shapps wants a speed limit for cyclists

Problem is snaps is a moron and has stirred the anti feeling pot again by engaging the right wing express and mail readers with anti feeling towards cyclists and any one else who dare use the roads in alternative ways, The UK is one of the most diverse liberal countries in the world where the...

    30h error

error 30 can be a bugger to find the cause but as you saw 30h, not heard of the h before. As your display doesn't stay on then it does sound like a voltage supply wire issue, so a wire fault it could be the a wire break in the main 1t4 loom or what ever is used. One can remove this and test...

    30h error

Error 30 is lcd/display comm's to controller, anythong between the two can be the cause inculding the display & controller. Check the connector for a bent or misaligned pin, damaged/pinched wire, water ingress. Disconnected wire in controller, motor or display. The fact the display turns...

Grant Shapps wants a speed limit for cyclists

One assumes any major change would have to go thru the lords to become law, but opposition parties would veto any changes.

Daily Express - Cycle lanes torn apart by readers for ‘increasing congestion’ and ‘narrowing roads’

Mostly is lack of good road craft, the speeding at roundabouts is just that. The brain doesn't compute a cyclist easily at high speed. The other very poor bit of road craft is cutting the corner entering a T junction, add speeding to the list and generally a lot of drivers road craft is at a...

    Capacitors in KT Controller blown

I doubt if the caps had blown because when they do the evidence will be clear to see and smell. When the bike fails on hiils it is usaually due to slow speed and too much current on steep hil, this causes a lot of heat and the mosfets will eventually reach their olsp temp and thermally cut out...

Grant Shapps wants a speed limit for cyclists

We know snaps proposals won't come to fruition as it is so unpopular amongst most, all it is going to do is rile the right wingers who read the express and mail and then those drivers amongst them end up even more anti cyclist. When all the hot air dies down and they realise nothing changes...

Grant Shapps wants a speed limit for cyclists

Yes have to agree 100% any licensing means the bike being classed as a motor vehicle even if just human power we would soon cause major congestion riding in primary position. The DFT and opposition all think it is utter nonsense and the guardian political expert say's it's a non runner, snaps...

Grant Shapps wants a speed limit for cyclists

It happens all the time, gov't ministers cause a ruckass with some ill advised remark and the spin doctors get involved with some side tracking news to curry favour amnogst the electorate. The media /papers are happy to carry the big headline story as they have mostly been shown to be cycle...

    Help! Ezeebike controller.

No if bought from the same place they are highly compatible and miswiring shouldn't be an issue. Testing the wiring is damn hard as the controller is potted and there is no way to directly test the waterproof connectors. At over £100's a time it isn't cost effective to keep replacing...

    BATTERY REPLACEMENT

I had someone looking at my Roadrat the other day and they pointed out the rear hub motor was give away as was the hidden battery in the under bar bag. Two both points I told them they were totally wrong to which they didn't believe me. I pointed out the rear was in fact an alfine 8 hub gears...
