    Wisper 905 torque 575w

That's a shame Malcolm, 60 miles would be stretching it a bit! This is an absolute bargain. As l,omg as the bike is inputted by a Wisper dealer and they give it a clean bill of health, I would be pleased to transfer the remainder of the warranty to the new owner. All the best, David

    Wisper 705 Torque

Hi Yaffa, sorry to read about your back. Is the battery 375Wh or 575Wh? I think a potential purchaser would be interested. A note to any potential buyer: This bike is still fully supported and will be for years to come. The warranty could be extended to the new owner if it were to be...

    Mushy brakes

Good point Chris, I do exactly the same, somethings to be aware of. I should say that on the Torque sensor bikes it wouldn't bee an issue and in the majority of cases the amount of movement needed to balance the position of the pedals whilst banking on a corner wouldn't be enough to set the...

    Mushy brakes

We used to have a similar issue with cable brakes on our SE bikes, it didn't matter how well the brakes were adjusted they were always a little soft, particularly on the folding bikes, We discovered as you suggest, it was brake cable compression and movement. We have now changed all the cables...

    Mushy brakes

As long as your bike has a 12 magnet disc it's absolutely fine. Even if it only only has a 6 magnet disc you won't have much of an issue. It's pretty unlikely that you will brake and pedal at the same time, just watch out that the motor could remain active for another 2 or 3 metres after you...

Would you pay for a test ride?

Atmosphere Electric bIkes in Bristol have just bought a fleet of Wispers for exactly this reason. The are for extended test rides, a great idea. They charge a few quid for a day or half a day's hire and refund if the customer buys. If making an investment in a new ebike, especially if it was...

Getting the stated mileage out of a battery

Electric bike to assist with fatigue, muscle and joint problems

Hi Kyorks, If you have the budget it may be worth considering our 705Torque. With a 575Wh battery it woul cost you £1,799. It has the added advantage of having a torque sensor and speed sensor and uniquely you can choose which sensor you want to use. The Torque sensor is fantastic for getting...

Longevity of electric bikes in general - A bit sceptical.

It's the same with our motors, they should not need any servicing but after a lot of use the planetary gears may need replacing. We have 12 year old bikes still going strong. Like Trigger's broom a bike could last for ever! All the best, David

Longevity of electric bikes in general - A bit sceptical.

The bike if properly serviced should be good for at least 7 or 8 years. The battery, if looked after should last for about 5. All the best, David

    Looking for perfect commuter..

Hi Tommy, you are correct. I have again spoken to the MD who promptly placed an order for four bikes to replenish his stock. They have been in disarray for the last week. They were shut by the police as the London Bridge attack took place on the bridge immediately over their shop. The...

    Cube vs Wisper SE

Price is important but there is almost nothing between the 8000 and the XT, having sold Bosch powered bikes for more than four years we were very much into the Bosch system, and our new GSM Jeremy worked for Magura selling Bosch systems until he joined us six months ago. Although we were...

    Cube vs Wisper SE

Regarding gear sets, we would love to have a Rohloff version but the price would be prohibitive. Shimano gear sets are in our opinion superb, even the mid range sets used on our Wisper city and tracking bikes are excellent. We never have any issues. As long as there are properly adjusted they...

Apparently yes, we have to buy through an agent, but we are also considering finishing the bikes in Kent. All the best, David

    Cube vs Wisper SE

We are building a range of four mountain bikes for next season. We thoroughly tested the CX and 8000 side by side. The 8000 is quieter and more responsive, it also sits on the bike in a better position than the CX allowing for the rear wheel to be bought further under the rider. This makes for a...

    Cube vs Wisper SE

The CX motor is great, very similar in power to the Wisper Torque motor. The Active is very much weaker (and cheaper). I'd give that one a miss. If you are going Bosch certainly go CX, it's a good motor, although in my opinion not a patch on the Shimano Steps MTB8000. Hi Spinellino! Just back...
