I agree Trevor, the Bosch Active is perfect for riding in flatfish cities. Why spend the extra on a Performance line or CX if not climbing steep hills or going off road? I was pointing out that most hub drives will perform just as well as the Bosch Active Line, are less expensive and in a great...

Do remember when choosing a Bosch drive bike that there is a HUGE difference between the cheaper, entry level Bosch Active, the Bosch Performance and the Bosch CX. Most hub motor bikes will outperform the Active models but only a few will compete with the CX. All the best, David

    What climbs steep hills slowly?

Hi, Great novel! :D Thanks for considering a Wisper 806T. Strictly speaking the twist and go throttle is only to help a rider push a bike up a hill and should not be activated when the rider is on the bike. Our throttle does work up to 15.5mph as long as the pedals are turning forward. This...

Help me choose a bike for my commute

As long as the hub drive bike has a decent Torque Sensor, battery life will be as long if not longer. And effort needed to ride the bike will be about the same. We will be selling our own range of crank drive bikes later this year so I don't have an axe to grind. Hub motors are simply better in...

    Wisper bike problem with pedelec

Hi Cam, The magnetic disc comes as one part, there is no snap ring. There was a period where mag discs came in two halves and snapped together however they often snapped apart too! The pedals can be taken off easily enough, but the crank and chain wheel have to be taken off too. This will...
