I'm not unhappy with the bike as such. In fact I like riding it when I can use the power. But having to run it at low power defeats the object completely where I live. Because you then have a heavy bike which is sluggish and hard work, and you might as well have a nonelectric much lighter one...

Trex do you know if if the Kenda K1047s on the Sport CD are puncture resistant then? I bought this bike only a couple of weeks ago but it has them as well as Zoom brakes not the Tektro Novela. The Zoom brakes go out of adjustment very quickly on the hills around here too.

The throttle is very useful for hill starts too.

Well I haven't found it a huge problem. As you say it may not be suitable for everyone and is not idiot proof. But if a buyer is told the score they can be guided to a bike more suitable if necessary. I'm prepared to put up with a small compromise like that because the bike is good in other ways...
