    considering an e bike

I was looking at the Tourer when I started to compare bikes but the power seemed a bit on the low side for my hilly area. I was told that you have no plans to put the BPM in it. Is that right?

What would you choose out of these three and why.??

I didn't. I was making an observation on the question of lycra. As you would have seen if you read up the page one post.:)

What would you choose out of these three and why.??

I used to wear all lycra years ago and still partly do under the rugby shorts. Padding is useful.

Woosh Sirocco CD or Big Bear?

I don't want to have to worry about pedalling this lump back up steep hills with a dead battery when I go out to play though. So I'll find out how far it will take me. I'll probably need a spare too for what I want which is something I didn't really want to do. Because it's a hassle having to...

Woosh Sirocco CD or Big Bear?

Jim. How do you get 30 miles from your battery? You live in a hilly area I think so you use it at 3 most of the time? I think the Typhoon has got a 10.4ah hasn't it and your bike is the same sport MB type as mine and about the same claimed weight. Thanks Jackhandy and Jim for the lights info...

Woosh Sirocco CD or Big Bear?

I'm not unhappy with the bike as such. In fact I like riding it when I can use the power. But having to run it at low power defeats the object completely where I live. Because you then have a heavy bike which is sluggish and hard work, and you might as well have a nonelectric much lighter one...

Woosh Sirocco CD or Big Bear?

Well I was told that on the phone just after I bought it. I think it was the Italian guy. I assumed he was referring to the 15ah square bottle one you're listing now as a battery kit. Or is that not fully built? Anyway that's what the man said. trex also wrote further up that you were fitting...

Woosh Sirocco CD or Big Bear?

Thanks Hattie. I suppose I'm slightly disappointed that this bike is effectively last years model, and the new ones have upgrades to brakes and higher discharge batteries. If I had known that I might well have waited the extra month to get the latest kit since the zoom brakes on this are not...

Woosh Sirocco CD or Big Bear?

Not quite sure what's happening with their website at the moment. The Sirocco CD was due about a week ago after being put back, and now it's not showing as being for sale at all in most links. The Sport TS is shown with the new specs but the Sport CD is not coming up in links. I had a look at...

Woosh Sirocco CD or Big Bear?

I was wondering if they'd sold me an old model. How many deliveries do they get a year then? I would have thought it was more than just one or two.

Woosh Sirocco CD or Big Bear?

So how does that fit in with you saying that they changed them and the other things on the 2014 bikes?

    ebike unrelated - radio problem

If he has a TV then he can listen to radio on Freeview or Freesat. Just take the RCA out from the TV or PVR or whatever and plug it into the hifi if thats how he listens. The bit rate is higher than DAB which is an old system and frankly crap. Analogue used to be much better, but the BBC hasn't...

Woosh Sirocco CD or Big Bear?

Trex do you know if if the Kenda K1047s on the Sport CD are puncture resistant then? I bought this bike only a couple of weeks ago but it has them as well as Zoom brakes not the Tektro Novela. The Zoom brakes go out of adjustment very quickly on the hills around here too.

Torque or speed sensor - preferences?

The throttle is very useful for hill starts too.

Torque or speed sensor - preferences?

Really don't understand your dogmatism, or of some others here. Anyone who wants a torque sensor bike should buy one, and if they want a throttle then the same applies.

    Woosh Santana CD gearchange quality

Hell, I learnt to double declutch on my fathers Humber, and heel and toe double declutch on a fifties crashbox Morris flatbed lorry. It came in handy on the ten years old XK140 I bought when I was nineteen and which had knackered synchromesh, and wouldn't change otherwise without sending a...

£400 would get you a lot of chains sprockets and mechs.

    Woosh Santana CD gearchange quality

Well I haven't found it a huge problem. As you say it may not be suitable for everyone and is not idiot proof. But if a buyer is told the score they can be guided to a bike more suitable if necessary. I'm prepared to put up with a small compromise like that because the bike is good in other ways...

    Woosh Santana CD gearchange quality

Not quite sure why you're replying to me. I don't have the problem.
