    To Kit Or To Woosh?

Doesn't it depend on how fast you're trying to get there? I remember when lots of people rode bikes to work, and even came on them to read the meter. The district nurse rode one, as did the postman and many others. They were big sit up and beg bikes with no gears or three speed Sturmey Archer...

Looking to build my own bike to replace Woosh Sirocco CD.

I've got Zoom brakes on my Sport CD delivered a few days ago. Don't think they're the best but they seem to work better than the rim brakes I've always had in the past.

Looking to build my own bike to replace Woosh Sirocco CD.

Worth bearing in mind as you seem reluctant to bend the law regarding derestricting at all, is that it is just as illegal to derestrict an ebike for use off road as it is on the road. Many people seem not to be aware of that but the law is clear. As long as the public has access to an area the...

why are non cyclists not interested?

The weather isn't that great in Holland and Denmark either. I think the main obstacle is the danger involved on our roads, where cyclists are seen as a nuisance and the road structure and joke bike lanes are seemingly designed to funnel them into traffic at points of maximum risk. Many parents...

Not sure using the throttle makes it illegal. As I understand it the UK allows it even if it's a slightly grey area.

Looking to build my own bike to replace Woosh Sirocco CD.

You could use the throttle on hills and keep it in a lower mode. Or just change the settings on the King Meter which is very easy to do apparently and which I will probably do myself. I find the cut off is pretty noticeable but not that bad, and the bike is quite easy to pedal without assist...

Looking to build my own bike to replace Woosh Sirocco CD.

Trex, I'm not really sure what this assist problem is? If it was left at 5 all the time wouldn't it perform in exactly the same way until it hit the legal cut off? Or are you saying that if it was derestricted it would go faster but have less climbing torque?

Looking to build my own bike to replace Woosh Sirocco CD.

I've recently taken delivery of a Sport CD model, which is identical to yours other than a smaller battery, no mudguards and slightly different forks. My initial impression was that it didn't have quite the power going uphill I thought it might have. But I got the hang of it quite quickly and...

Ezee Quando1...6 years old but un-ridden and kept dry last 5 and a quarter..good condition

Just as a matter of fact it's 13.4% fees and PP if sold on thiefBay. Which is more than enough BTW. If you sold it as pick up only you would be wanting cash I should think. Because if you took payment through PayPal for a pick up item you would be leaving yourself wide open to fraud.

    new bike new mirror

Can't see the difference with using a cycle mirror and a motor bike or car mirror. In my car and when I rode a motor bike my eyes are and were flickering to the mirror and back all the time, and you never need to refocus. I like to know what's coming up behind me to give myself a chance of...

Woosh Sirocco CD vs Cyclotricity Stealth

There's quite a lot here about Woosh. If you do a search a fair bit will turn up. The Sirocco CD is sold out at the moment with new stocks in a few weeks, but they have the bigger wheeled CDL in stock.

Safer cycling? Don't get a helmet and cross red light

    New Woosh bikes?

Thanks trex. Those mileage figures seem about the sort I would hope for. So if I did crank on I expect I could up them by a fair bit if I needed to go a bit further. Pink but not sweating sounds good but it doesn't conjure up images of cycling to me....:) The Bosch figures on the flat with the...

    New Woosh bikes?

Well I ordered a Woosh Sports CD yesterday which will turn up next week I'm told. I would have had a Sirocco CD for the bigger battery if the wait wasn't so long since this one is only 9ah. I've been trying to get some info on the real likely range with this bike, battery, and my likely input...

    New Woosh bikes?

Well that is exactly what I want. I don't think I'd been cruising without pedaling. Unless I bought a Big Bear when I probably could most of the time even here, and then I'd be peddling much of the time anyway because I wanted to. So exercise and exploring parts of the coast I've hardly visited...

I thought these might be new models as I haven't noticed them before. Have they been around for a while?

    New Woosh bikes?

I just looked at the Woosh site and there are a couple of bikes there which I haven't seen before. The Sport CD, which seems to be the same as the Sirocco CD but without mudguards, and with a more MB look plus a smaller bottle battery, and the Sport TS which is a torque sensor bike with what...

    Advice for a heavy rider

Do you know if the new stock does have the rewound motor giving better low speed torque? I put myself on the reserve list for one last week and Hattie told me just now that I stand a good chance of getting one of this batch. But she isn't very technical and couldn't tell me if they do have the...

    Advice for a heavy rider

Each to his own. Or as GB Shaw put it slightly more elegantly: "Do not do unto others as you would have them do unto you. You may not have the same tastes."
