    Brexit, for once some facts.

Why do they keep doing this scare-mongering? The key word in that video is "could". We "could" all be wiped out by an asteroid before Brexit happens, so why are they worrying about unlikely traffic jams?

Pompeo seems to be extremely confident. I've never seen him talk bullsh¦t before:

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I just polled hundreds of politicians. 100% of them said that they have never done anything crooked or in their own self-interest, so that's another myth blown away. Don't forget that they have hundreds of affidavits detailing irregularities during the count, some of which are specifically...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

That's not correct at all. The candidate who receives an absolute majority of electoral votes (at least 270 out of 538, since the Twenty-Third Amendment granted voting rights to citizens of D.C.) is then elected to that office. If no candidate receives an absolute majority of the votes for...

    Error code EFF

Check that the LCD contacts are clean and that it can't move in the holder. They're often a bit loose and need a bit of tape or something down the side to stop them from moving. EFF isn't in the manual. It sounds like the sort of code you'd get when the CPU freaked out.

Help! Mounting battery to the bike downtube?

2 rivnuts are not enough to hold a heavy battery like that. If you don't want to add any more, you're going to have to come up with a rigid strapping system. Whatever you use, you have to support the receiver properly so it can't rock from side to side.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Some authoritative sources are saying that the vote won't count for jack sh¦t because the decision is going to end up in the house of Representatives, who will vote in Trump because they have 31 Republicans vs 19 Dems, and all that's legal and in accordance with the constitution. That will...

Help! Mounting battery to the bike downtube?

You drill a hole the size of the rivnut body in the frame, drill a 5.5 mm hole in two strips of scrap steel, insert the rivnut in the frame, place the strips over it and screw in the 5mm cap screw while holding the rivnut down. If you're lucky, the rivnut will tighten in the frame and rivet...

    Battery packs

There's a downside to those cases. There's no low voltage cut-off and I think there's constant drain on the cells when not in use. My one has bricked about 3 sets of cells so far because I can't be bothered to take them out when I don't use it. It's no problem for me because I have boxes full of...

Help! Mounting battery to the bike downtube?

There's a massive gap between the battery receiver and the bottom bracket!!!

    newbie questions for ebike build

The battery has to be able to provide the current that the controller allows. That becomes more important as the specified motor rpm goes up. For a 22 amp controller, you need a battery that can provide at least 25 amps continuous. Some of the cheaper ones can only manage 15 or 20 amps. With...

Help! Mounting battery to the bike downtube?

It doesn't look far off. Can't you lengthen the slots with a Dremmel? That's what I've had to do with just about all downtube battery installations.

    newbie questions for ebike build

Looking at it again, it appears that the 250w and 350w ones are geared motors. 320 rpm would be OK at 36v, but wouldn't work at 48v because it would become too fast for its power it would run very inefficiently and it would overheat the controller. At 36v, the 9FET (probably 22 amps) would be...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I keep telling you that you can't believe these stories that you read in the MSM. They choose facts very carefully and carefully omit facts that show the whole story. Anyway, of course those particular lawyers aren't alleging fraud, but the people they're representing are. Already there are 500...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I can't find it now. It was on twitter I think. It was extremely detailed with 100s of lines- one for each county in each state with exact numbers down to the last digit. I don't know the basis to it except the story said that computer specialists used some sort of script to check the results...

    newbie questions for ebike build

There are a lot of options there and you haven't said which one you're thinking about. In case you don't know, even the 250w one is probably illegal. Assuming that it's the large direct drive motor in the picture, They run best at 25 amps and upwards. I think even the 9FET controller would be...

Help! 500w/750w Ebikes in the UK

Although I've never done it with one of those, I reckon that you could probably reprogram it for higher current with the Bafang programming cable, though I couldn't guarantee that it has the same firmware as other Bafangs. The other way is to add solder to the shunt in the controller...
