    Brexit, for once some facts.

I was going to post the same. can someone produce a rational explanation for this? https://rumble.com/embed/v87oyh/?pub=22lbp

Yose 350 rear hub kit - onto Spanish mtb by Mondraker

The max motor speed is proportional to voltage because motors generate a back emf that cancels out the voltage. At the theoretical maximum speed, the generated reverse voltage is the same as the battery voltage, so the net voltage is zero and no current will flow. The back emf is generated...

    Chinese Emtb repairs

Bike stands are good for adjusting gears and brakes, but worse than useless for putting a new motor in, especially a £30 one. I wouldn't be able to do it with a good back, so anyone with a bad back has got no chance. To put a motor in, you turn the bike upside down on the floor so that gravity...

Yose 350 rear hub kit - onto Spanish mtb by Mondraker

It's not as bad as that because the power ramps down as you approach the max speed in each level. On level 4, you'll get less power at 15.5mph than on level 5.

    Schwalbe Marathon E-Plus rolling resistance

The axis looks very accurately labelled to me. It says "air pressure" and has units of psi. Are we looking t the same graph? The graphs show rolling resistance at different tyre pressures, which is not a linear relationship. Their formula says that the relationship between weight and rolling...

    Thoughts on a radrunner?

You're not supposed to sell bikes with throttles in the Uk, but, as you can see, it's still possible to buy bikes with them. If you look at the Government rules for electric bikes, it doesn’t mention throttles. Besides that, nobody is checking and nobody cares. With a throttle, you won't need...

    Thoughts on a radrunner?

It has pedal assist. Use of the throttle is optional. At48v, it should be fine with only one gear. The only question I have is who's going to fix it if it goes wrong? Stunt pegs won't fit because of the motor axle. You'll need some clamp-on ones or make your own brackets.

    Cyclematic powerplus power problem

You'll be able to take the wheel off, but not very far. It's enough to change a tyre as long as you do it next to the bike.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Biden finally got a decent turnout at one of his rallies, though nothing like as many as Trump got. His recent rallies have struggled to get a hundred, and when Obama went out on his behalf, he was standing with a megaphone speaking to three bemused onlookers. It looks like maybe a couple of...

    Cyclematic powerplus power problem

It's nice to have a connector on one end or the other, though not essential.

    Schwalbe Marathon E-Plus rolling resistance

Two times the average of the weights will be the same as the sum of the individual weights on each wheel. They used 42.5kg for one wheel, which is 85kg for two. Our all-up weights are closer to 100kg on average, so the 60w is probably a slight under-estimate. The formula they give says that the...

    Cyclematic powerplus power problem

In that case, cut all the connectors off and solder them to the controller wires. Use heatshrink to insulate, not PVC insulating tape, which will melt. You have a connector at the other end for when you take the wheel off, so you don't need one at the controller end. All connectors will do is...

    Schwalbe Marathon E-Plus rolling resistance

Thanks for that. Amazing results - 60 watts just for rolling resistance at 18 mph. I never thought it would be as high as that. A pair of road bike tyres is about 20 watts. Anecdotally, my road bike takes the same effort to ride at 15 mph as my electric bike on level 1 showing 60w on the LCD...

    Onebot s6

Switch the LCD on. Immediately press the + and - buttons together until you see P0, press the M button twice to see P2. Use the up and down buttons to change the speed to what you want, bearing in mind that the motor has it's own max speed, so setting it higher than that won't make a difference...

    New to electric

I've had hundreds of punctures. None of them couldn't be fixed by traditional patching, which is a lot easier to do than threading one of those things in. Don't use self-adhesive patches.

If you're going to use those again, you must make sure that they're well insulated from each other no bare metal. maybe a blob of silicone sealant (Instant gasket) on each after you plug them in to the new controller.
